In a statement, press secretary Jay Carney says the U.S. respects the Iranian election and congratulates the Iranian people.
"We have seen the announcement by the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran that Hojjatoleslam Doctor Hassan Rouhani has been declared the winner of Irans presidential election. We respect the vote of the Iranian people and congratulate them for their participation in the political process, and their courage in making their voices heard. Yesterdays election took place against the backdrop of a lack of transparency, censorship of the media, Internet, and text messages, and an intimidating security environment that limited freedom of expression and assembly. However, despite these government obstacles and limitations, the Iranian people were determined to act to shape their future," says Carney, in a statement released by the White House.

Well SURE they have no problem with the Iranian vote! The circumstances probably remind them of a typical US national election under the Obama Regime!/sarcasm;)
LOL! Sounds just like that election we had in 2012!
This is satire, right?
If Obama approves of this guy it means he’s very bad news..Obama would only root for an Anti American, Anti Israel jerk face like himself, an Iranian clone of Obama
The only way to get back at Iran is to fund the insurgents and Al Qaeda in Syria, which this administration along with the war-hawk Republicans are doing.
At this point, the only reasonable option is to, as Palin said, let Allah sort it out.
Wake up WH, the clash is coming no matter how much you cow-tow to these Axis of Evil nations.
So the only cleric among the field of candidates just happens to win and just happens to get the 51% of the vote required to avoid a runoff?
Yeah, that looks legit. (/sarc)
Since when do we congratulate insane Islamic regimes?? They’re still ruled by Khameni.
I didn’t notice anywhere in the article where it stated what % of the vote he received. If it more that 80% I would think fraud. And How do I know what fraud looks like? I saw it in November here in the USA.
Just like under the Ubama regime.
