STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) — Texas Gov. Rick Perry is bringing his job-poaching tour of the Northeast to Connecticut.
Perry is scheduled to speak Monday evening at the Ferguson Library in Stamford as part of the city's "Civility in America Speaker Series."

LOL....poach 'em if you can get 'em.
Good for Perry.
I so wish he knew how to speak without sounding like an idiot.
Must be a Texas thing.
“Job poaching tour”.
Restrictive gun laws are job crushing.
It's a selective media thing.
With Bush, he would deliver the same campaign speech 4 times in a day. The press pool assigned to his campaign did not agree with the message and said that they were bored with the assignment so they waited for the flubs.
They had pool footage without a flub from other appearances those days but chose not to use them.
Perry's "famous gaffes" were never an issue when he ran repeatedly for governor. There were other issues with Mr. Perry, but flubs wasn't one of them.
Obama and Biden don't register as high in the public's consciousness for gaffes even though FReepers could all cite some big boners on par with "potatoe" (57 states, a 3 letter word "J-O-B-S", etc.).
How long will it be before there are federal laws requiring industries that leave one state for another to pay “exit taxes”?
It’s coming. And one more “progressive” SCOTUS appointment will make such laws (and others) “constitutional”.
Never going to happen.
The South might very well have all the manufacturing in American Civil War II
So you’re saying the shoe will be on the other foot?
You think? I havwe a higher opinion of Texans, myself.
As for his lousy debates, he was on post-surgery pain medication. But don’t let me stop you from smearing a good, Godly conservative....knock yourself out.
I have no idea why people are so gullible.
Obama is the gaffe master but some how Perry wears that mantle here.
MLK must be pinching the bridge of his nose.
I thought we judged people based on Character and deeds. around here.
I love Texans.
I did not know about the pain meds; that’s a good thing.
But, yes, you get one chance to make a first impression and his sucked. To believe anything else is to be in denial.
Would I happily vote for him as President? Yes, indeed.
I agree...his campaign started out so well and promptly hit the skids. For me, it got to the point where I couldn’t stand to watch the debates. I would log on to FR instead. Inevitably, the evening would start out okay, with posts like “Perry’s doing good!”.....and then all of a sudden, “PERRY BOMBS! OH, NO!” It was such a shame.
Like you, I’d love to vote for him, but don’t know if that opportunity will ever come.
Take me with you before you leave Governor.
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
LOL. That was my first thought, too.
He may be running. There is going to be a big announcement in the next few weeks.
He is a good man and I would welcome him in the Presidency as he would bring dignity to it that has been missing for a long time.
Dignity ..and a handsome all American POTUS
Define dignity. Because as a Texan, all I have seen is a Keynesian governor who used to be a Democrat and now pretends to be “Mr. Conservative Savior.” He uses billions of our tax dollars to create slush funds for his campaign donors.
Look it up, the Texas Enterprise Fund, Emerging Technology Fund, Texas Events Trust Fund, and the Cancer Prevention Institute of Texas are all examples of his cronyism and corruption. He believes government creates jobs and awards them to the highest donor.
Look at the Board of Regents for our university systems that are slowly becoming more liberal. The total given from those boards to Perry’s war chest are millions upon millions.
Cronyism is not conservatism. Unfortunately, cronyism is the name of the game in Texas politics. Sadly, most people ignore it because people like Perry play conservative on national issues, but are no different than Obama when they govern on the state level.
