Edward Snowden, America's most wanted whistle-blower, participated in a live online chat with the Guardian newspaper on Monday.

"All I can say right now is the US Government is not going to be able to cover this up by jailing or murdering me," Snowden wrote. "Truth is coming, and it cannot be stopped."

JH, I just read that 2nd interview. I’m not sure how many times I said “S.O.A.B.!!!” (the real words, not the acronym.)

Binney may be a bit in left field, but still, he was a senior employee / dept. head at NSA...

There’s more from him available, if you do a web search.

No he did not do me any favors..nor most Americans who already knew.

More importantly he is a man who is hunkered down in a communist country..surrounded by attorneys and advisors...spilling what we have already know...to any nation around the world.

It’s showtime..and he’s taking many “viewers” with him....while our country is being invaded, torn down and destroyed from within....we watch a 29 year old who’s defected and stolen intelligence that has interfered with how countries are now negotiating.

He’s a traitor...and a defector..a liar and a fool.

Bravo Sierra.

This guy is on the run and not hunkered down living some kid of life of ease. I promise you, he does not want to fall into the hands of the CCP.

He revealed what many expected, but he put a face to it, and punctuated it. It has now led to more revelations by people a lot more senior than him so his info has now beeN trumped.

Former Director of NSA Intelligence reveals the full extent of PRISM capabilities. MUST SEE!

Another William Benny interview about PRISM and the NSA

What the 40 year career NSA director (former Director of Intelligence under George W. Bush) is saying is far more revealing and far more explicit.

The fact is, the program is violating American citizen's rights. There is no probable cause for the government to be invading our personal effects in this massive way at all. None. Therefore it is unconstitutional on its face.

So, while he's a kid, and he is naïve...he is not an enemy. The enemy are the people who are violating their oaths to the Constitution by creating, engaging in, and attempting to cover for such a program.

All he released is “metadata”: information about the information.

It does seem that way. Well said, iimssm.

Maybe Cheney is crazy like a fox —KNOWS how much he’s hated by Obama supporters— and is now using that as a TOOL...?

Perhaps by opposing Snowden his aim is to undercut Leftists now opposing him?

That way Leftist opponents of Snowden appear as Retainers of a Rotten Establishment.

???

Dunno.

Both sides want to discredit Snowden because he has opened the door to the massive bipartisan collusion in dissolving every citizen's right to privacy. I like Cheney but his hawkish posture on security after 9/11 leads me to believe he supported this wholeheartedly.

Much as we would like to pin this on the Usurper regime, Bush started it. Since the claim of "treasonous" damage to security is laughable and unsupported by any evidence, the opposition to and demonization of Snowden can only be due to political anxiety on both sides of the aisle.

Sorry about the late reply. Very good points.

Would also add that many people missed the main point about the UK government and American spying of the previous G8 meeting that he released a few days ago. He targeted a real time event that does not happen very often. In other words, he must have access to just about everything, or a whole lot more then the US Government is admitting.

[[Both sides want to discredit Snowden because he has opened the door to the massive bipartisan collusion in dissolving every citizen’s right to privacy.]]

Hinkley- I’ve been sayign this for days- I truly beleive that BOTH sides are scared poo-less about what snowden knows and might reveal- Even the right’s reaction to what little snowden has revealed is very telling- concidering how the right was basically silent when the homosexual bradley manning dumped reams of govenrment documents all over thei nternet- Snowden has doen no such thing- He hasn’t told us anythign we all didn’t already suspect, and there’s nothign there so far that is directly endangering ANYONE yet, and yet peopel like cheney, bolton, and others are furious and calling him a traitor before any info is dumped to the public?

I really get the feelign BOTH sides are crapping their pants and they are desperately tryign to villify him in the press in hopes of turnign thep ublic so agaisnt him that they won’t beleive anythign he says

Now- it could be that he is a terrible person- a traitor, or simply a glory hound- but all that remains to be seen- but the overeaction by the right and left tells me he’s struck a real nerve with folks,

[[Much as we would like to pin this on the Usurper regime, Bush started it.]]

HOWEVER- the userper INCREASED demands of spying on innocents here in the states 1000% and he directly targetted conservatives- Bush probably never did that that we know of- IF he had, I beleive the left woudl have been all over it because he couldn’t fart in private without it becoming a national scandal according to the left- and he knew that- I suspect that perhaps, just maybe- He allowed Cheney a little leeway and perhaps Cheney went a littel overboard and now is scared poo-less abotu what might be uncovered- but I really doubt that bush’s presidency went nearly as far as the userper’s has
