In a 7-2 vote, the court said the voter registration provision of the 2004 state law, known as Proposition 200, was trumped by a federal law, the 1993 National Voter Registration Act.

The state law was strongly opposed by the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (Maldef) and Indian tribes. They said it deterred legal voters who did not have the required paperwork from registering to vote.

We can forget about the Supreme Court standing up for the Constitution and our rights. Obama has already appointed 2 idealogues and will continue to fill the Court with more of the same. We in America have no one to stop this tyrant, not the Courts, not Congress. The only way we can take back this once great nation is by force.

Is that a throwaway line?

Disgusting!

Wouldn't it cost WAY less to provide funding for legal Americans that to pay for welfare, hospitalization, etc ad infinitum for illegal aliens?!?!?!?!

Think of the loss of jobs and loss of life caused by illegals?!?!?!

The supreme Court will have to answer to a much higher court on Judgment Day.

Proverbs 29:4 - By justice a king gives a country stability, but one who is greedy for bribes tears it down.

There is now real motive to get working on a federal law to do what Arizona and other states have tried.
I note that the two opinions which were right included that of Justice Thomas, the man whom the Democrats tried to destroy during his confirmation. The intent of the left is to use courts to establish their oligarchy, as well as to use the internal security agencies, the IRS, and any other tools they feel might be handy.

I am soooo pissed right now. As I’m typing this I have to submit my ID., all bank statements, my unemployment check stub, a certificate copy or original Birth Certificate to apply for financial assitance for medical treatment.

YET!!!!! to vote that will affect our lives for the negative no ID is needed to vote. That is BARBARA STREISAND!!!!

I have to bring up all the documents to prove I am a citizen assistance from the county. I do not see nothing wrong with this however to vote which is so precious they treat that like dirt.

I was born here, I am a second generation American born that comes from Mexican ancestry. Right now I’m unemployed barely making it but with the Good Lord help dammit I will head on forward with my head up high. I am pissed to see this nation that was once blessed now destroyed.

Sorry about my rant =)

OK, plan B:

1) Do a Voter ID law which mandates either a state driver's license or free state-issued ID in order to actually vote. Have enough lead time that nobody can reasonably say that voters did not have time to get their IDs by 2016.

2) Refuse to issue state IDs to illegal aliens.

3) Make it a felony to present a fake ID for any purpose, including voting

so, you don’t need an ID to vote, but you are legally obligated to have an ID for anything else.
makes sense.

Arizona should tell the Supreme Court to go jump in a lake and enforce the law anyway. Force the Obama to send in the 101st Airborne Division to make sure illegal aliens can vote. But that will never happen with that RINO sellout Brewer in the Governor’s Mansion.

As Andrew Jackson demonstrated, rulings by the Supreme Court are not the last word.

The Supreme Court should now be called the Sondergerichte.

After taking power in 1933, the Nazis quickly moved to remove internal opposition to the Nazi regime in Germany. The legal system became one of many tools for this aim and the Nazis gradually supplanted the normal justice system with political courts with wide ranging powers. The function of the special courts was to intimidate the German public, but as they expanded their scope and took over roles previously done by ordinary courts such as Amtsgerichte this function became diluted.

According to the idiot logic of Scalia, writing for the majority, the “motor voter law” includes the requirement of voter registration forms to include a statement, made under penalty of law, that the registrant is a citizen, but, according to Scalia, the states are powerless to enact tools that help insure that registrants in their jurisdiction can provide evidence for that statement;

translation - the federal law requires it but you can’t do anything to secure it;

which makes the requirment have no teeth at all, which, by a simple reading of the legislation was not “Congressional intent” at all
