But yet if you find ancient gold the government will take it without compensation for the national “historic” record...

Ancient Gold, huh?

I recommend a don't ask don't tell policy should you find any "ancient gold". Now if you find fresh gold, by all means, run to the EPA, media, etc. I'm sure the government is not as interested in the newer stuff. :o)

Don't be so sure. The USG confiscated 80 million worth of gold coins that a family found in their fathers safety deposit box. The coins were from the time when FDR confiscated all personal gold. The USG reasoning according to the article
“ Jacqueline Romero, assistant U.S. attorney in Philadelphia, explained that the coins legally belonged to the government after Franklin Delano Roosevelt ordered citizens to exchange their gold for cash in an effort to keep the banks afloat during the Great Depression.

“Those coins were all in a vault and were supposed to be melted,” she asserted.”

In simpler terms “ we will tolerate no uppity peasants in possession of the Kings gold” so instead of SSS its MCS
Melt
Recast
Shut up
