KCK police investigate protest on Kris Kobach's doorstep

KANSAS CITY, KS - Police are investigating a protest at Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach's home as he said Monday he is prepared to use lethal force if necessary. The KCK Police Department issued a statement Monday afternoon about the protest on Saturday at Kobach's home.

"We are reviewing (sic) matter to determine if protestors violated any laws or ordinances," according to the brief news release...

"I was just appalled," he said. "They have a right to protect at my office or at my public places, that's fine. But they don't have the right to enter someone's private property and engage in this kind of intimidation. I have four little girls and they would have been terrified to see 200 protesters shouting at their daddy on megaphones on the front lawn."

A town hall meeting was held Saturday to discuss comprehensive immigration reform. Four buses filled with protestors converged on Kobach's home. He and his family were out of town at time...Video shot by one of the protestors showed a group standing at Kobach's front door. Chants and songs were made. Some protestors left behind shoes that they said represented the fathers turned by their families after they were deported...

A spokeswoman said the protest had made an impact and the group has no regrets...Kobach, an attorney, has championed tough immigration laws, including an Arizona law. He told Fox News that he believed many of those outside his home are in Kansas illegally.

"You don't go to a public official's home and try to intimidate him because of the positions he's taken," he said.

He said it took police 15 minutes to respond to his home, which he believes is unacceptable when a "mob" was involved...

He said Saturday's incident is an example of why Americans should bear arms.

"If we had been in the home and not been armed, I would have felt very afraid because it took the police 15 minutes to show up," he said to Fox News. "It's important we recognize there's a reason we have the Second Amendment. There are situations like this where you have a mob and you do need to be able to protect yourself."...

"My views are set and I'm determined to do what I can to restore the rule of law," he said. "Let's obey our laws and not give amnesty to illegal aliens."...

The Sunflower Community Action group that organized the protest has yet to respond to Kobach's comments and criticism.

Local Acorn group sponsored this outing to Kobach's house. The "town hall meeting" was sponsored by the "legalize 'em all now" crowd in Kansas City. Attempt to intimidate an elected official.

believe you me, the KCK po po is Democrat, and if it is true that he lives in KCK, Wyandotte County is a Democrat bastion. When obambi was elected the first time, the lines were blocks long. No Republican can survive in Wyandotte County.

A bunch. And they get another bunch from well-financed leftist foundations, bottom feeders of the first order who somehow get their paws on huge "public interest" lawsuit settlements such as the one below. I realize this reads like an article in The Onion, but it is this kind of generously funded moon battery. http://www.khi.org/news/2013/jun/12/hcf-announces-24m-grants/

This group got its bucks from the Hospital Corporation of America system, which was ordered to pay $162 million to the Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City after a Missouri judge ruled that HCA failed to abide by an agreement to repair several rundown community hospitals it purchased in the Kansas City area.

Kris needs to get the hell out of Wyandotte County. Move to Leavenworth County, your neighbors will be happy to deal with these clowns.

Yeah, I’ll bet the Democratic US Attorney will be all over it, too. Not.

You do if you're La Raza.

I saw the pix. Outright terrorism.

Foreign nationals trying to intimidate a U.S. public official on his own private property. Sickening.

Arrest them all.

Kobach lives in Wyandotte County? I hardly think so. For some reason I thought he lived in Lenexa.

What would happen if a group of Americans pulled a similar stunt in Mexico City, protesting the drug lords, for example? /s;)

The Mexican Constitution and criminal law prohibits political activities by foreigners. The penalty is usually about five years in prison.

He would have to be nuts to live in Wyandotte, I am guessing he does actually live in Johnson County. But to the outside world, all the places around KCK are KCK. No Lenexa, no OP, no Olathe..............
