A Labor Department lawyer, charged with sexually assaulting his co-worker in her Northwest Washington home, was found dead Tuesday in his D.C. jail cell, officials said.

Paul Mannina, 58, was found with his throat cut, two police officials familiar with the investigation said. He shared the cell with another inmate, but it remained unknown whether the wound was self-inflicted. Authorities did not explain why Mannina was sharing a cell or whether he was in protective custody at the time of his death.

Hard to say it belongs in the Dead Pool. I need more info on his connections to the administration.

[I know that Muslims have infiltrated the White House and most government agencies, but they’re in the prisons too?]

Malcolm Little, AKA Malcolm X was recruited by the Nation of Islam while he was in prison in the late 1940’s. You can't spit in a U.S. prison without hitting a Muslim.

Prisons are a breeding ground for muslim terrorists, many are groomed there.

Van Jones used to brag that it was in prison that he became radicalized.

One of Obama’s henchmen now.

after his face was on the table in front of him? Didn’t anyone in the courtroom notice?

Only the writer saw it and reported it. A whistle blower?

I thought sharp items were not allowed in jail

Perhaps they make exceptions for inmates who think they are sharp?

Like those who don't want to share their cell? I'd hate to ask the writer what the real story is - those paper cuts can be nasty.

That's someone else's response, not mine.

We are doing a spoof on how the writer writes.

I did a cursory search to see if there is a biography. I was unable to find one. I’m wondering if there is a possibility that once he got into legal trouble, if his bio was scrubbed a bit.

I found his name on various documents from when he was at the dept of labor, but not much else.

[NBC is calling it a suicide]

That would mean it was murder at the hands of the administration.

And I just saw this on yahoo...

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/michael-hastings-dead-33-002300721.html

“Michael Hastings, the award-winning journalist whose explosive 2010 Rolling Stone profile of U.S. Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal (”The Runaway General”) led to McChrystal’s resignation, died Tuesday in an early morning car accident in Los Angeles, the magazine said. He was 33.

“Hard-charging, unabashedly opinionated, Hastings was original and at times abrasive,” Rolling Stone, where he was a contributing editor, said in an obituary. “He had little patience for flacks and spinmeisters and will be remembered for his enthusiastic breaches of the conventions of access journalism.”

Hastings, who covered the 2008 presidential election for Newsweek, was hired by Buzzfeed last spring to cover President Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign.

“We are shocked and devastated by the news that Michael Hastings is gone,” Buzzfeed editor-in-chief Ben Smith said in a statement....”

SNIP
