Italian Supreme Court rules Meredith Kercher murder was a sex game gone wrong and order Amanda Knox back for trial

Italy's high court today faulted the acquittal of Amanda Knox by the appeals court for the murder of her roommate, ruling that it WAS a 'sex game gone wrong' and ordered her back for trial.

The Supreme Court said the ruling was full of 'deficiencies, contradictions and illogical' conclusions and ordered the new appeals court to look at all the evidence to determine whether Knox helped kill the teen.

Three different courts have come to three different conclusions in this case. Could there be any clearer case of reasonable doubt? Thank God we have the Constitution.

Basically, the Eyetalian judicial system just LOVES w@nking off on this case.

It gets more lurid and detailed each time it goes to trial!!

I’m sure they are writing a soap opera or movie based on the transcripts.

This particular story is very informative to those who plan to travel in Italy for business or vacation, or who might plan to send one of their kids abroad for education.

There are other, better, safer places to go.

If I remember correctly, Amanda Knox is ensconced here at home in the Seattle area. Given the ruling today, I don’t think she will ever leave the US again. EVER.

Apparently, the US will not allow her to be extradited because she was found innocent the first time around and the US doesn’t allow double jeopardy.

She’d be wise not to travel out of the US though.

No, I am not kidding. In the U.S. a jury would return a not guilty verdict because the state can't prove this case beyond a reasonable doubt. The burden of proof isn't what some judge thinks might have happened based on his or her reading of the evidence. The burden of proof is guilt beyond a reasonable doubt as found by 12 unanimous jurors.

It's a Lizzie Borden case. Do I think she did it? Yes. Could I say that beyond a reasonable doubt? No.
