Dems release their own IRS transcripts {Elijah Cummings}

Leaders on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee are escalating the battle over the investigation into the IRS tea party targeting scandal.

Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings, the panel’s top Democrat, released hundreds of pages of transcripts today of an interview the committee conducted with a self-described “conservative Republican” IRS nonprofit screening manager in Cincinnati who says one of his employees was the first to single out a tea party group applying for a tax exemption.

And he said he agreed with the decision.

“In this particular case, it was apparent that there was not enough information that was allowing [redacted name] to make … the proper determination,” he said. “I told him at that point in time I agreed with this thinking, and to give me the particulars of the case, and that I would elevate that issue to my area manager.”

Though the transcript doesn’t reveal the name of the interview subject, John Shafer is the only screening manager the committee has questioned.

http://oversight.house.gov/release/issa-statement-on-cummings-decision-to-post-irs-investigative-interview-transcript-on-the-internet/

WASHINGTON – House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) issued the following statement on Ranking Member Elijah Cummings’ announced intention to post the full investigative interview of IRS employee John Shafer on the Internet in the middle of an ongoing investigation into the facts and origins of IRS efforts to target Tea Party groups:

“I am deeply disappointed that Ranking Member Cummings has decided to broadly disseminate and post online a 205 page transcript that will serve as a roadmap for IRS officials to navigate investigative interviews with Congress. After unsuccessfully trying to convince the American people that IRS officials in Washington did not play a role in inappropriate scrutiny of Tea Party groups and declaring on national television that the case of IRS targeting was ‘solved’ and Congress should ‘move on,’ this looks like flailing. Americans who think Congress should investigate IRS misconduct should be outraged by Mr. Cummings’ efforts to obstruct needed oversight.

“In the course of this fact based inquiry, Ranking Member Cummings has wrongly argued that questions about IRS conduct are somehow not legitimate. His own previous release of excerpts from this very same transcript undermines his claims that the Committee is somehow trying to keep some specific revelation from public view.”

This should be grounds for Cummings’ removal from the committee.

Better back-off Elijah....we got the paper trail right here.

CONNECTING THE DOTS: Obama's stranglegold on Treasury via COS Rahm Emanuel's dual role

THE TARGETING PAPER TRAIL BEGINS: Soon as they occupied the WH, Obama and the Chicago con artists (a) took control of the US Census; (b) Obama placed his COS Rahm Emanuel in control of the US Dept of the Treasury (the IRS).

==========================================

THE SMOKING GUN---WSJ REPORT--On Jan 20, 2009 Timothy Geithner was appointed Obama's Secy of the Treasury. But within three weeks, the Obama White House tightened its grip on Treasury. Obama put his COS, Rahm Emanuel, in charge of Treasury---Rahm Emanuel's dual role was an unusual move.

When he got to Treasury, WH COS Rahm Emanuel was so involved in the inner workings of the Treasury that the phrase "Rahm wants it" had become an unofficial mantra among subservient govt staffers, prostrate in obeisance, scurrying to accede to Rahm's wishes, according to Treasury government officials. Reported by WSJ / 05/31/09

===============================================

The meticulously researched timelines posted allover FR are significant since they chronicle the times the Tea Party began heating up---holding massive rallies, and showing up at townhalls to protest Obamacare.

The arrogant, self-entitled Obamatons surely went ballistic. Does not take much imagination to know the WH con artists were thinking up demonic ways to stop the Tea Partiers who stood in their path.

SIGNIFICANT Remember that the Obamatons also took over the census. When Rahm Emanuel landed at Treasury, he had all the tools at his disposal to target individuals, tea parties, patriot groups, and so on.

Contact Congress Toll Free 1-(866) 220-0044 : All of the Treasury factotums doing Rahm's bidding need to be identified and brought before Congress to testify under oath. We need to know the specifics WRT Emanuel's activities at Treasury including dates and times when Emanuel consorted w/ the IRS.

MOMENTS TO REMEMBER Obama was fond of saying "Tea Parties are a threat to democracy."

Obama told hispanics, " we will reward our friends and punish our enemies."

Valerie Jarrett ominously warned, they "would not forget" which Americans did not worship Obama.

The WJS reported Emanuel's unusual arrangement----his dual role as WH COS and Treasury head.

Democrats NEVER see their duty as being the investigation of other Democrats. They ALWAYS act as defense council instead of investigators. Liberal psychopaths will do this kind of thing every time.

The IRS is the armed collection agency for the continued existence of the federal kleptocracy, and those on the booty counting end will defend it to the death.

I’d say somebody talked him into doing this, and he’s too dumb to realize they picked him because he’s expendable.

The second an IRS TE (technical examiner) begins working on a taxpayer request, the computer system begins a clock to measure completion time of various steps. Deadlines are crucial to meet “timeliness” criteria to protect taxpayer rights.

With some of these 501(c)(4)that languished for two years, Some authority had to override the system, not once but multiple times to cause a delay that was severely out of bounds. Those fingerprints are still in place. And they belong to senior managers at the D.C. level.

Issa needs someone who knows how the system works, and who stuck a stick in the taxpayer safeguards.

By finding one case with a (perhaps) justifiable question of qualifications of an organization, now all cases are justified. My only concern is that this slimy hack will get away with this.
