Despite the fact that Fox News has been shown to be favorable or neutral toward many left-leaning agenda items like immigration or gay marriage, there is still a lot of hatred among many "liberals" that the cable news channel even exists.
Our MRCTV colleague Dan Joseph demonstrated this tendency nicely the other day when he went to the campus of George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia and had no problem getting the students there to sign a petition making it legal for the government to spy on and monitor the communications of all Fox News employees. Video is below:
As NewsBusters readers are likely aware, James Rosen, a reporter for Fox News, was recently revealed to have been named a "suspect" in a leak investigation and his emails and phone records were seized by federal government officials.

Such is the quality of the American education system today that many students have no idea what the First Amendment is or the protections that it offers. And forget about knowing what the Fourth Amendment is....

This reminds me of when Bush was in power, and he wanted the Patriot Act worse than sex. We all know what was going to come of that. After the Clintons I wanted no part of something like that being handed off to a guy like Ubama.
Nice graphic. Hope to see some of these at the DC rally tomorrow.
Not as many signed the petition as I thought would.
What a perfect setup for some Napalm!
LLS
Maybe they're learning something there!
They prefer their socialist utopia to reality.
The Party of Tolerance.
This is dangerous. Way too many of their elders (including some in office) would agree with them.
Remember when GMU was a little known part of the UVA system, when it was a ‘commuter’ college for kids from NOVA who either couldn’t get into UVA or W&M, or whose parents weren’t willing to go the freight. A nice, solid local school with a world class econ department (Walter Williams/James Buchanan/Vernon Smith and others).
THEN with the popularity of DC region and expanse of government and all these kids thinking it’d be a cool place to live/work/go to school without the expense of G’town or GWU, the local commuters became very much a minority. It’s now getting more and more difficult to gain admission to GMU which makes it difficult for local kids, as well.
A few years ago my then-dil graduated from what is called the “New Century College” at GMU. O.M.G. It is everything we complain about with gay and/or womyn’s studies majors, and the like. Basically, it’s a joke, a way to get a ‘degree’ without any rigor whatsoever. GMU itself, depending on the major, is still a quite decent school.
Useful idoits
Don’t be so sure. When I first got the internet 15 years ago, I battled one of the nuttiest, fascist leftists I’ve ever encountered from GMU.
