A new film claims the official government report on the crash of TWA Flight 800 in 1996 is an elaborate fabrication, but the most shocking part of the story is that charges are being leveled by some of the very investigators who put the report together. Six experts who appear in the film were members of the National Transportation Safety Board investigation team that concluded the crash was an accident, but they now claim they were silenced by their superiors. The movies, "TWA Flight 800" will debut on EPIX TV next month, on the 17-year anniversary of the crash.

The headline implies these are official investigators.
If this turns out to be true, as I suspect it will, a lot of people will owe Joe Farah an apology.

...anyone over 12 who’s ever built a RC plane could have told you years ago, if the nose falls off an aircraft during flight the CG (center of gravity) is gone, and the plane will NOT CLIMB....
It’s true. We’ve known for a decade and a half that pock marks on the exterior of the aircraft could not have been made by an interior explosion.
The front wheel well door was blown in, not out.
There was a guy that took the lead in the private investigation, and I’m drawing a blank on his name right now (which I feel terrible about, he did such good detailed work), and he compiled enough information to make it clear the official ruling was just laughable.
Kahlstrom thought he really had us hoodwinked. He was an utter fool. We had his number within days. He never fooled anyone. He just helped destroy himself number one, and our faith in our own government number two.
The official ruling on TWA 800, was such a farce, that it was downright laughable.
They were trying to protect Muslims back then too? Yes I am assuming that it was them!

Everyone deserves the truth. There’s a little town in Central PA that still hasn’t recovered from this, and deserves it even more.
I too believed from day one that there was a government cover up and I am by no means a conspiratorialist. Clinton was in office and he had motive.
This was Bill Clinton's Benghazi.
This occurred in July 1996 months before Clinton's reelection bid in November. There was every reason to believe Clinton's goons covered this up so as not to mess up his reelection bid. And there was ample precedent of the Clinton WH thugs doing things like this.
Too many highly credible eye witnesses saw a missile streak through the sky. Some terrorist with a Manpad or Stinger did this. Alternatively, it was a US Naval mishap, though this seems less possible.
There was a lot of talk at the time of a “streak of light” that went from the beaches in Jersey to where the plane was climbing at the moment of the explosion. The media dropped the whole “SAM incident” question VERY quickly.
If a Dem’s in office, you can expect to be lied to. Hell, anymore, if a Rep’s in office, you can expect the same but at least the media will troll the conspiracy theories.

Everybody I know thinks that plane was shot down by a shoulder fired weapon. Numerous people saw a rocket trail. I never understood why they covered it up.
