You’re right, but then you cannot have equality under the law while neglecting to apply it to certain areas of society where it would be impractical. That is simply a false mirage of equality.

So, that is why I applaud this move. Feminists want us to pretend that they are equal in every area, so let them prove it by forcing them to take up the same responsibilities that men have to shoulder. They won’t be able to, so they will be forced to either try and fail, or admit that they overreached and perhaps let us find a more reasonable middle ground.

They should fit in nicely with the homosexuals and Muslims Norway has opted to allow into their military.

I’d take it one step further than you. Let’s make voting contingent on registering for Selective Service, for both men and women. Don’t register? Then you don’t get a vote.

Its good to know that as they watch their female soldiers being slaughtered in hand to hand combat, dragged off to be raped or cowering in terror as the enemy approaches, Norwegians can at least have the satisfaction of knowing they treated women equally.

Do you really think that's the Norway's army experience?

The small Scandinavian nation said it would be the first nation in NATO to draft females into military service.

A couple of observations:

Let's be honest: NATO is the UN/NWO military arm.

The UN is trying to figure out how to have its authority undercut American authority and ram through its plans for enforcement of a multi-national draft for the entire West -- including the USA -- including our young ladies.

Norway has had over 900 casualties in Afghanistan including 10 KIA. Considering their compliment in that country is only around 600, I'd say you'd want to rethink your statement. Norway has been a strong supporter of the War on Terror.

“...Norway has armed forces. Who knew?”

On May 8th, 1945, the German Military commander in Norway bragged that while he had been ordered to surrender “no one had dared invade Norway”. That country was taken early and easily by Germany and held until the very end of the war. Norway did provide some worthy recruits for the SS and the German Army.

About 10% of Norway's military is currently female, but the goal is to take the number to 20% by 2020.

If equality is the goal, should't they be striving to take the number to about 53% female? (There are more women than men in the world.)

If it's 'equality trumps everything' going by the preceding statements I did not quote above, shouldn't that be much closer to 50% rather than 20%, or do females only constitute 20% of the Norwegian populace?

PC idiocy bites its own ass again. Well done!

I've never heard that Audie Murphy couldn't handle the physical expectations of a male soldier. My brother was his height and served in the Navy and did fine as well.

>> Norway did provide some worthy recruits for the SS and the German Army <<

I would hesitate to use the term “worthy” when describing members of the SS, be they Norwegian, German or whatever.

But anyway, the King of Norway and many of his anti-Nazi fellow countrymen escaped to the UK during WW2, where they carried on an active resistance to the Germans.

In 1944. forces from this “free Norwegian” contingent took part in the Normandy invasion. That’s why you’ll see the Norwegian flag among the display of allied flags at the Normandy museum.

Also, Norwegian guerillas were key in destroying German heavy-water production at Vemork, Norway. It’s conceivable that without their action, Germany could have succeeded in the development of a nuclear weapon.

My point is that size and strength aren’t the only characteristics that make an effective warrior.

Psychopathic badassery. He was a bit “troubled” before the war; imagine what he was like after...
