Working off clues from a blurry image of an 11-year-old girl wearing pajamas in the back of a car, federal agents scrambled to find the pedophile who posted the image on the Internet and asked how he should rape the little girl.

Determined Homeland Security agents in Washington, D.C., analyzed the photo for any possible clues that could lead them to the girl’s location. Agents were ultimately able to beat the odds and save the girl in an operation they called “Sunflower.”

The suspect turned out to be only 16-years-old. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to serve 48 months in a juvenile facility.

“As satisfying as the arrests in Operation Sunflower have been, today is obviously a day of mixed emotions because this operation is ultimately a tale of the perverse, pervasive and violent exploitation of children – very young children to satisfy the dark pleasures of a group of twisted adults,” Former ICE Director John Morton said.

48 months? How about 48 hours with the girl’s relatives?

To be very honest, I am surprised that the DHS cares.

They needed something to make themselves look useful.

My question too. Why was the Gestapo brought in on this? Don’t kidnapping usually fall under the domain of the F-—ing Bunch of Incompetents?

If anything, I’d like to think that the FBI is getting tired of DHS’s shit. In the past, this would’ve been an FBI case.

DHS is getting out of control and needs to be collapsed.

In most states a person tried as a juvenile cannot be held after reaching his majority.

Unfortunately.

Maybe it’s not such a good idea to celebrate adult sexual perversion with other people’s children in the public schools and in the public square. More and more we read about violent teen perverts displaying their rape pride.

Also, I have been waiting for the police state to run a campaign to improve it’s nasty reputation. They may be hand raping and terrorizing little girls in wheelchairs at the airports, but they are flying out to Kansas to rescue a child from sexual abuse. Wonder if they hand raped her once they found her to make sure she was not clinging to a gun and Bible.

Racing against the clock, Cole and the other agents started driving down every highway in Kansas that began with the number two.

“At the very end of the highway where it teed into another highway, we found the sign. I jumped out of the vehicle on a very busy highway and almost got hit by a car,” the agent recalled.

Tell me this isn't a government operation. Why didn't they just have the NSA look up the perp's location?

The article doesn’t really say how they found the guy. They were able to identify the road and a public swimming pool. Either there is more to this story, or less, meaning the photos really had nothing to do with the ultimate arrest, or they had more detailed information than they are giving.

Well the FBI should be able to drive directly to his house - just call up the drone footage, or at least trace his phone calls from NSA monitoring!

Don't be fooled, THEY DON'T, but this will be used as justification to continue spying on every aspect of our lives.

DHS has the time and resources to find one 11-year old girl, which is great, but not enough to find and deport hundreds/thousands of illegal aliens openly crossing our southern border every day?

Wonder if we won’t see more stories like this to get the sheeple to embrace government spying on citizens?

Wonder if they got a warrant for the ISP records to track this guy down?

BTW - I do think the guy should have his neck stretched, but don’t think we should trample on the constitution on the way to the gallows.

...AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE! Look for MANY more stories like this, with cheerful rainbow endings, and potential victims riding off on unicorns.

Great point, especially since these fking illegals are a potential threat to EVERY 11-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN AMERICA.

A big plug for Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) by CNN near the end of the article:

According to CNN, “in the first six months of 2013, HSI agents have rescued 337 child victims, and they’ve taken 964 alleged child predators off the street.”

Why wasn't the FBI heading up this investigation instead of HSI?

“Why didn’t they just have the NSA look up the perp’s location?”

Probably because the NSA was way too busy looking up the locations of tea partiers, gun owners, church goers, and obama critics.

Soon I bet they will be using our cell phones to search for us if we happen to drink a little bit and drive, or if you don’t pay your taxes on time, or if you do anything illegal. It always starts with “saving the children” and then grows into more “crime fighting” tactics. I know their game; it won’t just stop here. This is just the beginning.
