Sarah Palin is often criticized for misstatements or controversial comments.
Of course, were she a female Democrat with a flamboyant style, she would be labeled brave and courageous by the press.
Palin has once again made a bold statement. Speaking on the topic of whether the United States should arm Syrian rebels, Palin suggests that we let Allah sort it out. And if recent history is any indication, Palin is absolutely right.
Our track record of losing American lives in combat or to acts of terrorism by taking sides in nations where religious factions are battling has on the whole been less than fruitful.
Just consider one of the headlines this week. A once-inconceivable effort by the U.S. to hold peace talks with the Taliban appeared to be on the edge of collapse as the leader of Afghanistan, whose freedom we fought for, complained about the U.S. giving the Taliban legitimacy in meeting with its leaders.
Once again, blood and battles leave the U.S. in a no-win situation, trying to play the father figure to the world.
It does little good to assert that the Syrian government should be condemned by other major world powers for what appears to be the deplorable use of chemical weapons against its own people when Russia chooses to block such a condemnation.
Our nation basically has been held hostage by a virtual U.N. Security Council writ large.
No matter what effort we have attempted to build as a coalition of countries against nations where we have deemed there to be weapons of mass destruction or the use of weapons against helpless citizens, those efforts usually have resulted in a hodgepodge of participation with little respect.....

Those were attacks by Mitt Romney, Backstabber Rove

in the MSM.
“Let Allah sort it out”
... and "Drill, Baby Drill!"
I think it’s important to point out that looking at the full quote she has not ruled out supporting US intervention in the Middle East. She said we should stay out as long as the person in charge doesn’t know what they are doing. She may well support an intervention in the Middle East proposed by a Republican president.
She has more balls and brains than almost everyone in congress of in the senate.
YOU ARE CORRECT ON EVERY LEVEL CSM...
SEE POST # 7....
‘I think its important to point out that looking at the full quote she has not ruled out supporting US intervention in the Middle East. She said we should stay out as long as the person in charge doesnt know what they are doing. She may well support an intervention in the Middle East proposed by a Republican president.’
SIX OF ONE HALF A DOZEN OF THE OTHER SEEMS THIS JUST BOLSTERS HER ASSERTIONS ...AND PRESCIENCE ...
‘She has more balls and brains than almost everyone in congress of in the senate.’
YEP A GRADUATE OF THE ANNIE COULTER SCHOOL OF POLITICAL THOUGHT....SURE ENOUGH...
Not really six of one half dozen of the other. Remember, she was for Lybian intervention before she was was against it. I don’t think she is articulating a Palin Doctrine of nonintervention in these Middle Eastern civil wars as some are suggesting. She is proposing a no Obama intervention. If this were a Romney decision she may well support intervention.
Now that you mention it, I recall that too. Thanks for the reminder.
Speaking on the topic of whether the United States should arm Syrian rebels, Palin suggests that we let Allah sort it out.
She'd have made a far better presidential candidate than John what's his name.
John Wayne Gacy?
It’s a grouping (#11 and #12)
I can guarantee that she would defend Israel and I would back her 100%.
‘She is proposing a no Obama intervention. If this were a Romney decision she may well support intervention.’
THATS BECAUSE ROMNEY WOULD HAVE PLOTTED OUT A WELL THOUGHT OUT CORRECT COURSE.....AND AS FOR SARAH...SHE’S GOT THE INSTINCTS OF A STONE WINNER ....AND THE CRED TO PROVE IT...MARK THAT DOWN..SMALL GRASSHOPPER..
So you are agreeing with me that people are reading too much into this statement as a doctrine that precludes US intervention in Middle Eastern civil wars. I wish she had not qualified her Allah statement which leaves the door to these types of interventions during a Palin presidency open.
I don’t doubt that she would come to the support of Israel. But she was referring to US intervention in civil wars, not an Arab war with Israel. If the Jews were to turn on each other, it might be best to let Yahweh sort it out.
