At least 3 dead, 12 wounded in shootings

At least three people were killed and 12 others wounded in shootings in Chicago Friday, the first day of summer.

About 8 p.m., four people were found shot in the 2900 block of North Kilpatrick Avenue. The man died later at Stroger Hospital and the three others were in critical condition, authorities said.

In the 2800 block of North Spaulding Avenue a little after 8 p.m., two people were reported shot, according to the Fire Department. A 36-year-old man died and a 61-year-old was wounded.

The difference in crime rates for Boise ID and Chicago IL has nothing to do with their levels of gun control and everything to do with the available numbers of criminals.

Like many people I read with dismay about the carnage in Chicago. However, lately a more sanguine attitude is beginning to show itself. The current situation in Chicago could be looked upon as a Darwinian process. The welfare roles are being reduced as the dead are no longer contributing to the gene pool which immediately increases aid to dependent children payments. Crime will go down as the dead are no longer able to rob, steal "do drugs," etc. etc. Public health will improve as the dead can no longer pass on their STD's. There will be more room in the schools.

Perhaps we should let nature take its course?

It amazes me that the liberals have very little to say about all of these black people getting killed in our big cities.

Yet they make a cause celebre over the Trayvon Martin shooting, because they thought it was a racist shooting. Upon learning that the shooter, George Zimmerman, was Hispanic, the media decreed that he is a “white Hispanic”, so they could keep the racist angle alive.

So, isolated shootings such as Trayvon Martin are given saturation coverage in the media, and liberal talking heads bloviate about all of the racial implications, but the same liberal talking heads have NOTHING TO SAY about the thousands of young black men shot and killed in our cities every year. Go figure.

It doesn’t help that the fawning media shows the same image of a younger Trayvon Martin. That gets into the psyche of the short-attention span Americans, they think a little kid was shot down. Compare that to Benghazi and how some of the population is unaware of the events.

Liberals have a common reply to these shootings and it is some form of “I don't go into those areas.” Whenever I have brought up inner city crime or something similar, liberals put themselves in the position of “Could it happen to me?” I posted one of Rachel Maddow’s comments from a few years ago about how San Francisco is a paradise and she used it as a shining example of what happens when Dems run things...she asked why conservatives are afraid of that. However, she failed to mention places such as Detroit or much of Chicago. Typical lib thinking and it oozes naivete and ignorance.
