President Barack Obama will give a speech on "climate change" this Tuesday, the president announces in a YouTube video:
Addressing the threat of Climate Change
"In my inaugural address, I pledged that America would respond to the growing threat of climate change for the sake of our children and future generations," Obama says. "This Tuesday, Ill lay out my vision for where I believe we need to go a national plan to reduce carbon pollution, prepare our country for the impacts of climate change, and lead global efforts to fight it."
This is a serious challenge but its one uniquely suited to Americas strengths.
Well need scientists to design new fuels, and farmers to grow them.
Well need engineers to devise new sources of energy, and businesses to make and sell them.
Well need workers to build the foundation for a clean energy economy.
And well need all of us, as citizens, to do our part to preserve Gods creation for future generations our forests and waterways, our croplands and snowcapped peaks.
Theres no single step that can reverse the effects of climate change. But when it comes to the world we leave our children, we owe it to them to do what we can.
So I hope youll share this message with your friends. Because this a challenge that affects everyone and we all have a stake in solving it together.
I hope to see you Tuesday. Thank you.
Oh, silly boy, do you really think an intellectual augment with liberals is even possible?
Just another way for Obama to attack Texas and other places he can’t control.
I wish he would “pivot” back to that rat hole of Chicago where slithered out of.
If things continue as they have been, in five years, at the latest, we will need to acknowledge that something is fundamentally wrong with our climate models.
J Bryan Kramer writes of this interview with IPCC lead author Hans Van Storch in SPIEGEL.
Interview conducted by Olaf Stampf and Gerald Traufetter
Climate experts have long predicted that temperatures would rise in parallel with greenhouse gas emissions. But, for 15 years, they havent. In a SPIEGEL interview, meteorologist Hans von Storch discusses how this puzzle might force scientists to alter what could be fundamentally wrong models....
SPIEGEL: Just since the turn of the millennium, humanity has emitted another 400 billion metric tons of CO2 into the atmosphere, yet temperatures havent risen in nearly 15 years. What can explain this?
Storch: So far, no one has been able to provide a compelling answer to why climate change seems to be taking a break. Were facing a puzzle. Recent CO2 emissions have actually risen even more steeply than we feared. As a result, according to most climate models, we should have seen temperatures rise by around 0.25 degrees Celsius (0.45 degrees Fahrenheit) over the past 10 years. That hasnt happened. In fact, the increase over the last 15 years was just 0.06 degrees Celsius (0.11 degrees Fahrenheit) a value very close to zero....
As if he has not blown enough of our great grand childrens money on this BS already.
0bama to Divot, again....
so he’s finally going to shut the hell up?
I've got about 20 to donate.
I now cut 'em up with a Sawzall and throw 'em out otherwise.
Thanks Ernest. Sheikh Obama just doing the bidding of his OPEC masters.
And does he want the American people to stop exhaling?
Since the dawn of time petty Dictators, Emperors, Kings and Queens, Tzar's and Politicians of all stripes have dreamed taxing everything under the sun, including the air that you breathe.
Not quite there yet, but getting close.
Carbon? The world is made of carbon. Carbon is one of those essential building blocks.
Conservative carbons will be the first to go!
“We need better unicorns.....and prettier rainbows to power them.”
Carbon is an essential building block of life. Obama hates life. He supports the culture of death.
This jackass isn’t going to let up, no matter what the data show.
Obama is going to hit the fossil fuel industry hard because all his lefty environmental supporter are disappointed with the lack of a down right ban on the Keystone Pipeline and then the NSA scandal. They feel that Obama let them down. This is going to be his way to try to win them back.
McConnell and Boehner.... if you do not stand up to this, you are not of any use to us.
Oh look, a chicken....
