As soon as amnesty is passed, the Dems will then push for coverage under Obamacare for those receiving amnesty. They will cite the issue of jobs, i.e., those receiving amnesty will have an advantage over Americans because employers will not be penalized for hiring them, and that we need to provide some way for the 11 million, most of them making very low wages, to obtain health care coverage. Otherwise, they will continue to use our ERs are free health care clinics.

I am guessing that illegals will replace American workers.

An estimated 7 million are already working now. And it is not the illegals that I am worried about, but the tens of millions of LEGAL IMMIGRANTS and guest workers who will be competing against Americans for jobs. Even the CBO estimates that this influx will increase unemployment and depress wages for the next 12 years.

Convoluted?

Try my simple logic:

If I see it in the media, it must be BS.

Snowden appears in the media.

Snowden is...

You gotta wonder what could possibly motivate such a statement from a Senator who is up for reelection in a supposed conservative state like SC.

Pardon me for taking exception with this. Supposed conservative state? I can assure you that SC is most definitely a conservative state. One of the reddest around.

Simply put, Linda is a mistake. One we're hoping to take care of next year in the Senatorial primary.

I hate to see but you can trace the down hill slide to bad moves in Congress for years now.

Richard Haas on ABC said it damaged our relationship with China. Calls him a felon, not a whistleblower. Says polls are showing people want him prosecuted.

The libtards were singing a different story back in 2006-2007 under GWB/Cheney.

EFF Legal Director Cindy Cohn's Introduction for Mark Klein at the 2008 Pioneer Awards, March 7, 2008
I am honored to be presenting an EFF Pioneer Award to Mark Klein. The Pioneer Awards are often given to people who are innovators, who make cool or important things or who explain or change policy. We award thinkers of big thoughts and doers of big deeds. But in Mark we have something even better. We have a bona fide hero.

Morning AB, All....

As always, AB, thank you for doing this thread. No time to check in earlier, went to 8:30 am mass, daughter here, son-in-law....got amazing news about this....later.

Big news this week is that immigration morass. I am watching this with eagle eyes, ladies and gems.

Once they told us that we should grant amnesty, back in the 80’s....we will secure the borders and no more illegals.

We should believe them now?

Like Rush says, the political class, the elected elite-do not WANT to secure the borders. They didn’t want to then so they lied to us. They don’t want to now else...why not make it border secure FIRST? They don’t want to secure our borders, they welcome the temporary labor coming to and fro for the cheap labor, Mexico likes it too.

The political elite don’t want to secure our borders and it’s time they told us the truth, told us why, engage in a national dialogue about the matter. I am tired of being patted on the head and told not to worry myself by some dumb bell only claim to fame is getting elected.

If ever an issue would divide this nation....the country class from the ruling class if you will...BAM, total, enough that the masses finally take action, it’s this immigration mess.

They either own up to what they want or somehow jam that thing down our throats. The masses, like herding cats....it takes a lot to have them join as one. It won’t be pretty and the international publicity will be horrible.

But even the most abused of wives has a point, and so does the good nature of those who carry this country on their back.

Take BIG note the Repubs involved with this....even if his name is Rubio....even if with the best of intentions they promote this bill without border security priority...take note, they are the ones betraying you more than the rest.

For me, Snowden is the messenger, not the issue. I could care less about him or his motivations. The question is whether the government is overstepping its bounds as it relates to our individual liberties. Have they gone too far? And what price are willing to pay as a nation for security?

We need a national debate on this issue. The government has been lying to us. The FISA courts have acted as rubber stamps. The IRS is systematically targeting the political opposition. The DOJ is going after the press.

Snowden called it "turnkey tyranny." Has technology outpaced our ability to control it? Is our only protection to trust government to do the right thing?

It may be left to FNC and possibly Glen Beck down the road to do the televised job the DBM once did.

I have finally realized that politicians who stay in politics, especially the same office, can’t be or remain conservative. They have to like big government in order to stay.

$$$$$

True in any bureaucracy. Conservatives get ground up or ground down, and eventually remove themselves, no matter how firm were their good intentions for joining the group. Think: PTAs, Unions, universities, ...

There are so many diversionary scandals, you name it, that the economy barely registers on the news scale.

Rush said it this week: Follow the money- there is some big campaign donations to Graham’s campaign that are making him say this

I'm down to corruption or stupidity and they(congressional rinos) all can't be that stupid.Corruption is the only thing that makes any sense.

Look at Rubio. He was almost perfect suited for us. Straight with us before he joined the gang of eight. Now we won't touch him with a pole(and rightly so). Overnight this happened. Only loads of cash has that effect,IMHO.

Loads of cash or campaign managers who think appealing to the Dems is the ticket to victory. Either way he showed terrible judgement and is finished with any national ambitions.

Pray for America to Wake up

Here is the toughest question you will get all day.

What makes Republicans(rinos in the Senate) enter into a deal with dems that will permanently make them an underclass in votes, tank the economy, increase unemployment, decrease wages, and go against the wishes of their electorate? Just to name a few of the many problems with the amnesty bill.

Is there any other answer other than political corruption, our elected reps taking money or other goodies?

I think these nitwits really believe that Mexican-Americans will start voting for them if they just GIVE them something.

Just can't be Bob! Our side has to know not to get in a bidding war for various voter groups with the left. It has so many down sides for us its not even practical. Much less logical. They would have to be really stupid to try that one.

Great post Bob! You are right on track as well. There are not enough lawyers on our side to get rid of all the crap that has been passed by Congress and the EOs drawn up by val/jar and her gang of chicago thugs. With enough crooked judges compromised at every level they can rule even when out of power, its a slick maneuver.

We were never set up to counter the enemy from within and its showing quickly.

With all of the pressing U.S. and world event news, NBC MTP David Gregory must address Paula Dean and her recent racial slur.

Moreover, Gregory limits panel opinions the sole black panel member.
