It’s bizarre to watch the AM news. The newscasters are still acting like Snowden’s a traitor. Whoever could have imagined just 20 years ago that a creepy spy thriller like this would be the US feds chasing a citizen trying to get the truth out to citizens about just how spied-upon we are?
But let's not forget the IRS spying and "altering" an election by cutting off groups from being involved.

I like to watch people that do not follow political topics closely to get a read on what is happening in the U.S. on a larger scale.
I asked my wife and the college kids at the Sprint store if the know the name Snowden. My wife said yes, one said no, the other (ear ring tech geek) was very familiar with him. In fact he chastised the guy for not knowing Snowden. The kid said I know what your talking about, just not his name.
Anyhow, the college kids at the Sprint store and my wife do not like to follow the politics of DC. However, on this point she and the young men are seething. They feel that Snowden (regardless of his politics) did the right thing as he demonstrated that our government has little oversight and is running over our rights like a Mack truck hitting an empty can on the road.
At the end they were apathetic and felt powerless to do anything.
I explained they are Obama’s voting bloc and they need to hold they Senators and Congressmen on the carpet for allowing this to happen. They need to let the Democrats know this is upsetting. I told them to use the power of their newly formed voting bloc to demand a change. I explained people like me are already demanding change. When they get involved it will happen.
