Don West followed with opening statements on behalf of Zimmerman, offering a knock-knock joke that fell flat before the stone-faced jurors.
“Who’s there?” West said. “George Zimmerman. George Zimmerman who? Okay, good. You’re on the jury.”

Probably not the best way to get the jury on your side.

Whos there? West said. George Zimmerman. George Zimmerman who? Okay, good. Youre on the jury.
Incredibly bone headed to tell that joke in court. However, it is hilarious.

He's quite right. All these people said they "know nothing"...about Zimmerman and the case. They don't watch the news, read the paper or talk to people.
Statistically, their "ignorance" is next to impossible.
Would love a picture of just one of the jurors in an anti-George rally.
trying to lose the case before it starts, what an idiot to tell that joke or any joke.

I think that joke was a subtle reminder to the jury that they have to clear their minds as to what they knew about Mr Zimmerman before they were seated.
I see nothing wrong with that joke.
Although a joke in the midst of a serious trial is out of place. Times have changed. Where’s Perry Mason?
