Sarah Palin rips Rubio on immigration
The Hill ^ | June 24, 2013 | By Cameron Joseph

Posted on 06/24/2013 1:17:12 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Sarah Palin criticized Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) by name on Monday for the Senate immigration bill. Palin, in a lengthy Facebook post, blasts the bill as "amnesty," says it won't secure America's borders and compares the Senate's process toward passing it to Democrats' passage of ObamaCare in 2010.

She criticized Rubio and other "amnesty suppoters" for opposing an amendment sponsored by Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) that would have required the completion of more of the border fence before illegal immigrants could receive registered provision immigrant status.

"It's beyond disingenuous for anyone to claim that a vote for this bill is a vote for security," Palin wrote. "Look no further than the fact that Senator Rubio and amnesty supporters nixed Senator Thune's amendment that required the feds to finally build part of a needed security fence before moving forward on the status of illegal immigrants who've already broken the law to be here," she wrote. "This bill isn’t about fixing problems; it's about amnesty at all costs."

The Monday post comes just hours after she posted an article highlighting Rubio's 2010 comments that an "earned path to citizenship is basically code for amnesty," deriding him as a flip-flopper. The attacks are a sign that should Rubio run for president, she could emerge as a vocal detractor of his campaign.

Palin, now a Fox News contributor who continues to hold sway with conservative activists, warns that the bill will lead to a conservative revolt against both Democrats and centrist Republicans in the 2014 elections.

Here is the article good thing I have it in my archive :-)
The GOP does have a death wish, they think that by passing this that illegals will vote Republican..that is NEVER EVER going to happen..a person doesnt need to be a genius to figure that out..illegals will vote Dem to keep on getting the free goodies they have been getting til now.
The GOP wants to Out-Commie the left, and they are doing one heck of a job attempting to do that

Is the GOP stupid or do they just have a death wish? They will never be elected again once these illegals get to vote.

Probably they have been bought off with promises of extravagantly compensated sinecures when they leave office. I think that's how they got to Brewer.

Might be war. We’re getting to the point that our own “representatives” are subverting the Constitutional system for their own benefit. I think I’ll see if any publicly-traded companies are still in the hemp rope business. It may be a good time buy stock in them, along with roofing tar suppliers and poultry farms.

The immigration issue separates the patriots from the sleazy special interest sellouts.

Nice picture!

Hay I found the following from one of your posts, Palin's position on amnesty in 2009:

http://blogtown.portlandmercury.com/BlogtownPDX/archives/2009/12/03/sarah-palin-on-the-lars-larson-show Dec 3, 2009

LARS: The amnesty proposal that was defeated in Congress — in your view, was that amnesty for illegals and would you back amnesty for a path to citizenship, as the current president calls it?

SARAH PALIN: No, I’m not for amnesty. Let’s ratchet this down quite simply to remember what we’re referring to. Illegal aliens are called “illegal” for a reason. We need to secure our borders and I am not for amnesty. And there are humane ways to deal with the 11-13 million illegal aliens who are in our country right now, but if they’re not going to follow the rules, they need to get out.

No problem

I thought it would be a good idea to post where Palin was on amnesty 4 years ago.

Sarah, I appreciate you responding.

I made a post on two threads addressing the comments of hers.

I don’t think you’ll like them, so I didn’t post them to you.

I know you view this as her having announced a change in her policy. I view it as an objection to the Senate bill, which is not the same as renouncing her former policy.

At no time does she renounce her plan to register illegals so they can stay and work. She doesn’t renounce her plan to grant immediate legal status if they register. She does not renounce her vision of legal pathway to citizenship.

I think it is good that she objected to the Senate bill. I give her kudos for having done that. None the less, she needs to say she has changed her mind about her own plans. If she says that and announces what her new plans are, I will take a look and compliment her if it is in fact a change in direction.

Take care.

I’m convinced that not only are the presidential elections fixed, so are the the senate elections. Otherwise they wouldn’t be telling the voters to stick it.

With Schumer predicting Hispanic Riots if Amnesty fails, and the Media hoping for Black Riots if Zimmerman is acquitted, this should be an interesting Summer.

It will either be Popcorn Time or Ammo time.
