Newsroom layoffs at The Oregonian have topped 35 reporters, editors and photographers today as the paper reduces home-delivery days and cuts staff.
Among the more prominent names WW has confirmed The Oregonian has laid off are editorial columnist David Sarasohn, environmental reporter Scott Learn, and Multnomah County reporter Dana Tims.

In Oregon?
Holy Sh!t...

The other paper was the Journal. My dad got both of them plus two from Southern Oregon (Roseburg & Grants Pass). After we read them he took them by motor car on the railroad to a man that lived alone in the middle of Cow
Creek canyon across the creek from the railroad. The only way across was by swinging bridge. We went there a few times and I walked the bridge as a youngster. You could see between the boards all the way to the creek and scared the pee out of me.
November 2008 I stopped subscribing to the Kansas City Red Star paper after 25 Years. I have not missed it once. So there is life after reading the Red Star paper. I am sure the folks in OR won’t even miss these leftist reporters.
