An unnamed senior Administration official joined the Snowden-bashing chorus,

It is a non-stop weasle attack. If she isn't willing to be identified she is lying.

It is a difficult choice. For the most part I am glad that Snowden put out the information, but he should have done so on an unclassified basis. Giving out secret information is so wrong for anybody. My other problem with being on Snowden’s side is that many liberals and Amnesty International are on Snowden’s side which make me a bit unsettled.

Snowden took the job so he could leak secrets. That’s treason.

However, it doesn’t mean that what the government’s doing doesn’t deserve scrutiny. That’s part of rule of law.

What is coming to light about the NSA and such is the real story. Not really ready to focus on figuring out whether the leaks were justified or not while I am still trying to figure out how the program worked and how much it was or wasn’t abused.

I support Snowden...I’m glad he told what he knew, about time someone tells the people something but bullchit all the time.

I hear tell that when Prince William and Kate were here in the U.S.A. in 2011, Bamaboy had their rooms bugged, had people watching their every move, and knew what they were doing and who they were talking to....wonder how the Queen feels about this....she doesn’t like Mrs bamaboy anyway, and the Prince and Kate did not invite them to the wedding...hummmm just wondering.....

I’m definitely not on the side of a government that believes storing all my data and tracking my every move is what the Founders of this nation intended.

I don’t know Snowden’s motivations, but so long as his actions are throwing wrenches into the NSA surveillance machine, he’s fine by me.

He chose the only option that guaranteed exposure and survival. When the government removes all avenues of whistleblowing, whistleblowers have no choice but to flee the country.

And he couldn’t very well run to an ally that would just turn him over to the criminal police state he just exposed. Nor could he trust the Congress critters easily blackmailed by the NSA into putting a knife in his back.

I find it very interesting that all the leaks from Hillary’s teams over the last few years, leaking ACTUAL state secrets on enemies and opponents, as well as the Benghazi “leaks” and the IRS misbehavior, etc etc etc
produced nothing; not one person held responsible or punished. But this man, who “leaks” what we already knew (but couldnt prove) for the “crime” of making obama look bad, is to be jailed for 30 years?
obama=Castro, I guess.

Seems to me that the US Government has become this nation’s enemy.

I don’t know who is pulling the strings of this government but they are certainly no longer of the people, by the people, or for the people. The US Government has far exceeded its Constitutionally delineated authority. It is no longer legitimate.

I have mixed feelings on Edward Snowden, but the NSA is definitely guilty of violating the Constitution and violating the rights/privacy of innocent Americans.

The NSA’s power needs to be greatly reduced because they are abusing it.

I seriously doubt anything has changed much. Maybe tightening of some protocols but the main theme of what the NSA does will lean forward, as it were.

Screw that! The NSA needs to be abolished: they have violated not only the 4th Amendment, but the 5th (and possibly the 1st [re: assembly]) and the 6th (the FISA court, how can that not be?). That's 30% of the bill of rights, right there.

Not to mention storing the information. How long until the stored information is used to trigger prosecution of new laws, that is to say: how long until the information is used in Ex Post Facto manner, which the Constitution prohibits?

Snowden is an 0bama administration ‘false flag’ to distract from IRS/DOJ/Benghazi scandals. He’ll never be ‘caught’, just like the Benghazi attackers.

Just remember, by the time the police state starts physically exerting its grip - it's too late.

It's utterly amazing that people are not focusing on the out-of-control police state spying on Americans.

THERE ARE OTHER WHISTLEBLOWERS FOLKS.

YOU CAN'T BLAME SNOWDEN.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Binney_%28U.S._intelligence_official%29

Let's see, he's not a "child" of 29... it's not about his politics... he worked for the NSA for over 30 years... he was MANAGEMENT.

This is real story, Snowden does not start or stop the story. He just attracted attention to it.

Every American needs to read up on William Binney - DO THEIR HOMEWORK - then let's talk about the NSA giving America a 24x7 personal-records-otomy every day of their lives.

Corrupt arch criminals in DC pissing on the Constitution at every opportunity for political and financial gain.

Snowden is a Patriot.

Deport all muslims, communists, and homosexuals in DC to Somalia and give them some post cards to let us know how they are making out.
