They won’t consider the Senate Bill, but that doesn’t mean they won’t come up with one of their own. That would spell doom if they pass any kind of immigration bill, no matter how good it is.

Last night on Hugh Hewitt’s show, the host asked the guest “What should the House do? Should it do an immigration bill of its own - or should it just ignore the Senate bill?”

The guest responded by saying that if the House passes a bill, the House leadership will appoint conferees who, in conjunction with the Senate conferess, will water down any bill coming out of the House.

The guest said it’d be better if the House simply said “We’re not gonna pass any immigration bill this year”.

Yes, there is no amount of "borer security" will be enough to justify amnesty in any bill they could come up with.

Because all of the border security in the world is utterly worthless if congress lacks the will to implement it and the DOJ refuses to enforce it.
