WASHINGTON (AP) Taking climate change efforts into his own hands, President Barack Obama is proposing sweeping steps to limit heat-trapping pollution from coal-fired power plants and to boost renewable energy production on federal property.
Obama, in a speech Tuesday at Georgetown University, was to announce he's issuing a presidential memorandum to launch the first-ever federal regulations on carbon dioxide emitted by existing power plants, moving to curb the gases blamed for global warming despite adamant opposition from Republicans and some energy producers.

And, as a result, normal, productive citizens will get an increased electrical bill
AND
we’ll have to pay for chosen groups’ electrical bills through our taxes subsidizing their bills.
Ain’t racist social “justice” great?

We need some Republican to stand up, challenge our mad President and declare how insane this is. That the Global Warming crowd hasn't even debated this theory in public and we're shaping energy policy around it?
Hello? Are there any sane political leaders left?

When historians will be looking back for the one single moment when everything changed, the moment when all these years of planning was finally implemented in instituting his master plan, this will be the moment when Obama took control of the power plants that they will single out was the ploy that started it all. The same sort of moments when the Communist mental case started a fire in the Reichstag that had Hitler utilize it to gain full dictatorial power, and it’s like in Terminator 3, the moment when Skynet goes on line. Different scenarios, same history.

The lunatics have taken over the asylum. For the moment, the walls are still standing, but the interior is pretty much chaos, with probably a couple of dozen small blazes already ignited, and the stores of flammable materials being scattered about with gay abandon.
First, destroy all the fire extinguishers, then cut off the water flow. Panic the inhabitants, and blame the staff.
What could possibly go wrong with this plan. Of course, the objectives have to be redefined, sometimes from moment to moment, but we are making “progress”.

[Obama also was to announce $8 billion in federal loan guarantees to spur investment in technologies that can keep carbon dioxide produced by power plants from being released into the atmosphere.]
This is Solyndra II—start-ups by Obama donors and cronies will burn through billions before going belly up, leaving taxpayers holding the bag.

To: GlockThe Vote
Just for once, I would love to see a purported news organization actually stop to ask a critical question when reporting on one of Obama's schemes.
For instance, in this case, is it so far beyond imagination for someone to ask: "Hmm...This is likely to really hurt our economy. I wonder how much CO2 is being produced by these American power plants as a percentage of CO2 in the Earth's atmosphere?"
Hint: the answer contains many leading "0"s.
But no one is asking.

Congress writes laws. Many of them bad. Bad laws delegate regulation making authority to Executive branch entities, like the EPA. If I worked in the EPA, right now I would be scared witless that I was going to be leaned on like an IRS agent to make political calculations, rather than technical and legal judgments.

Stand how?
The executive controls all the guns - military and federal agencies. Congress has no power (comes from the muzzle of a gun, remember) except to defund things, and the executive can simply pay with new debt and fiat currency.
This was never about climate control or the environment: “The issue is never the real issue, the real issue is the Revolution. The cause is never the real cause, the real cause is the acquisition of power.”
The Communist coup is almost complete. The final declaration of martial law and the bloody counterrevolution merely awaits some planned event when we are a bit more weakened, and they are a bit stronger.

All coal fired plants should shutdown immediately from a at least a week for a review to study their degree compliance and to see who blinks first. Nothing reveals a bad law (regulation) like it’s full enforcement.
