I presume there will be some supporting data showing that these events were actually caused by climate change?

Or how about data showing that these events were actually a departure from past history?

The "cost" and "damage" factors are not valid comparisons, because a weather event can occur in one location and cause no significant damage to man-made structures, while exactly the same event can occur in another place and cause horrific damage to businesses and homes.

In most parts of the Midwest and South, a tornado can deviate course by less than 1 mile and significantly change the outcome.
