America changes immigrants, and people will change, especially once they begin to become fully enveloped in the American economic experience.
Your views on these issues begin to evolve rapidly, Rubio said. The future of the conservative movement in America is to try to convince as many of our fellow Americans as possible that limited government and free enterprise is the best way forward for them and for our country.

Sure Marco, all those federal programs, benefits and preferential treatment policies are just what is needed to persuade illegals to become conservatives. You da man.
That photo makes me want to “go postal.”
FU enemy rubio.
LLS
And just like it says on the box, NO READING REQUIRED!
Now Harry Reid is calling House Republicans, “Crazies”. I guess he is just taking his cue from John McCain who calls conservatives “Hobbits” and “Wacko Birds”. It is high time for a massive march on D.C. by conservatives.
Yes, once upon a time, maybe, but after all of the profiling and warrant-less wiretaps, IRS intimidation, surveillance, NSA revelations, Benghazi coverup, etc. we've been through/seen and not seen recently, lemme ask you, do you trust the election process and vote count right now?
I wonder if there's been a poll on that and what they found.
They have their own society within our American/English society.
They don't have to change one bit.
Polling from the 2012 election directly contradicts Rubio’s claims. Hispanic voters in the US - supposedly people who came here (or who’s parents/grandparents came here) and were “changed” by America - voted for Obama based on support for ObamaCare. Not immigration.
I really wish someone would call Rubio, and other GOP supporters of amnesty, out on this.
Where’s your evidence, Marco?
Of course it changes them! It teaches them they can get all kinds of free stuff.
It changes the country, also. Into a third-world wannabe.
Marco, you’re an effin tool, STFU and go away already.
Nice!
Yes, but slowly,....
which is why immigration should not occur rapidly, especially from groups with massive numbers (and therefore disincentives to assimilation).
It WOULD be interesting to see a survey comparing voting preferences of recent hispanic immigrants (legal or otherwise), as opposed to those whose families are in their 3rd generation. From my experience in a Hispanic-heavy state, I'd be willing to bet the long-termers vote Republican about as often as the non-hispanics.
You are so right! I see that myself here in NYC. I am SICK of having to punch 1 for English, 2 for Spanish, etc. in my OWN COUNTRY.
That statement held some truth to it 50 years ago. In the past decades immigrants, especially those from Latin/Hispanic
countries, have particularly isolated themselves from becoming true U.S. Citizens. And both the Federal and State governments have aided and abetted this isolation by pushing us towards a bilingual country. We should have NEVER accepted the printing of Spanish forms, signs, etc. here in the USA. Every immigrant group has assimilated themselves by learning the language. By not doing so, these immigrants have thumbed their noses or flipped the bird to our country that they want to be welcomed in.
Rubio is toast...here in Florida we are all asking “what the hell were we thinking’?
An admission about the character of the individuals he wishes to grant amnesty.
Rubio is an idiot.
The “normal” motive of the legitimate immigrant is to enhance the liberties, independence, and strength of the United States. It’s not the US’ responsibility to repair the illegal aliens Rubio is so attached to.
Rubio is an idiot.
Senator Marco Rubio: The future of the conservative movement in America is to try to convince as many of our fellow Americans as possible that limited government and free enterprise is the best way forward for them and for our country.
Agreed, but limited government and free enterprise has to come first. The social welfare state provides a perverse incentive to NOT work harder by making it much harder to work one’s way up out of poverty. Previous generations of immigrants worked hard and assimilated because they had to. That no longer applies.
Rubio is promoting his own agenda now.
His sworn duty is to uphold his oath of office, and nothing else.
