A Brownsville man is behind bars after he allegedly abandoned an overweight immigrant in the front yard of house.
Brownsville police arrested 25-year-old Edgar Omar Lopez on four counts of human smuggling late Monday afternoon.
It all happened at a home off Del Prado Drive in the Southmost area of Brownsville at 5:37 p.m. Monday.
Investigators told Action 4 News that a homeowner called police after several immigrants were crossing their yard.
The homeowner told police that one of the immigrants was overweight, had medical problems, needed to rest and was left behind.
Paramedics rushed the immigrant to a local hospital.
Police said Lopez later returned in a car with four illegal immigrants inside looking for the immigrant that had been left behind.
Homeowners reported his license plate to police officers, who later found the car and made a traffic stop.
Immigrant? Trespasser is more like it.

Silly writer should say illegals, and not confuse anyone into thinking a bunch of real immigrants were trampling across someone’s yard. These are just criminals, probably terrorists come to rape, murder and steal whatever they can get their hands on.
