Trayvon Martinĺs Father Viciously Attacks Zimmerman Supporter In Court
The Inquisitr ^ | June 25, 2013

Posted on 06/26/2013 9:12:43 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Trayvon Martin’s father Tracy has reportedly “attacked” a supporter of George Zimmerman, mouthing an expletive (“motherf***er”) during pre-trial proceedings outside the courtroom during an alleged incident relayed by Zimmerman’s defense attorney Mark O’Mara as he argued that Martin and Trayvon’s mother should be barred from the courtroom if Zimmerman’s parents were.

As George Zimmerman’s trial wears on, the incident in which Tracy Martin allegedly attacked a Zimmerman reporter seems, like many, to skip over what feels to be the actual lurking headline within the story — something more like:

“Trayvon Martin’s Dad Tracy Somehow Miraculously Not Punching Everyone In The Courtroom In The Face, Continuously, As Zimmerman Trial Progresses.”

Debate aside, the Trayvon Martin case is one for which it’s hard to imagine a worse parental nightmare. People without children bristle at the notion that parenthood imbues one with any special ability to feel compassion, empathy, or projected sadness, and it’s true that all people have likely experienced fierce and vulnerable love like the love a parent feels for a child.

But the eternal curse of a parent is the one Trayvon’s mom and dad have to know so intimately — that fear that as they step out into the world, they will be slow to develop the ability to detect and evade the ill-intentioned. That if this horrible happenstance occurs, they will come to harm much like Martin did and we will be unable to intervene and protect them.

So too in life it feels like nothing is so unfair as compounded pain, and when Martin died at the hands of Zimmerman that night in 2012, the series of insults added to the Martin and Fulton families’ injury had yet to begin....

Really? On what grounds are they barred? In April I attended an appeal hearing in Connecticut in which Michael Skakel is seeking a new trial.Skakel himself testified on the day I attended and half the people in the gallery were his kin.I even talked to one.I didn't realize it until afterward...if I had know beforehand I would have told her to go fornicate herself.

Typical belligerent behavior to be expected from someone who has a perpetual chip on his shoulder, combined with a society that's always giving him a free pass for bad behavior.

Supposedly Zimmerman's family is on the potential witness list while Travon's family is not. Witnesses apparently aren't allowed to hear the other witnesses testimony.

Witnesses are not allowed in the gallery and the prosecution has designated them as potential witnesses.

They are family of the “victim” and thus are allowed to appear.....We need to be careful and not fly off the handle. This article is inflammatory by saying “attacked”.... The person said that it was said “under his breath” as they brushed past each other and the father saw his badge that said family. Lets just use the facts that actually happened and not make it worse than it was....

Oh,OK...I guess it's easy to tell that I'm not a lawyer. So because the parents are witnesses *no* member of the family can attend? If so I find that curious...although I suppose I understand why the witnesses themselves can't attend.

No show of emotion can, in the end, deny what is becoming a growing reality.

But given the general failure of critical thinking, and the nature of low-information individuals that find their way onto a jury panel, perhaps a hung jury is the best we may hope for. A guilty verdict would mean a heightened press for the repeal or invalidation of “Stand Your Ground” and the “Castle Doctrine” support for self-defense. An innocent verdict would fuel the racial tensions that already exist, but this is not a black-on-white encounter, it is a black-on-Latino confrontation.

A hung jury potentially leaves either of these issues up in the air.

Black “culture” killed Trayvon. The parents ought to have done everything they could to keep him away from it, but like so many blacks of every age group and condition, if they didn’t openly embrace it, they failed to speak out against it.

While Trayvon Martin is still responsible for his own actions, when I look at the reprehensible people who raised him, I wonder if he really ever had a chance to be a law-abdiding productive member of society.

His parents have behave disgracefully from the beginning and even before GZ was forced to shoot him. If they had even minimally supervised their out of control teen, while he was on a 10 day suspension from school, he wouldn’t have been in a position to attack GZ and cause his own death.

Travon’s family could elicit sympathy from the court, while Zimmerman’s can’t.

At breakfast this morning, the TV was on in the restaurant turned to HLN. I was watching some of the testimony and the camera kept going back to the parents of TM. Both of them sitting there chewing gum, listening to the 911 call. No tears, no face struggling not to crack and tears begin to fall. Just two people sitting there listening to a call about a body on the ground, possibly dead. Their son as we know now.
Parents? Hard to call them that. I could almost see the dollar signs on their foreheads. One couldn’t/wouldn’t control him and the other apparently didn’t give a sh** until he was dead. Then he was the loved son, taken from them by the evil “white” man. But lots of money just might soothe that loss.

Good point.

A lot of this is one-sided. Why is Zimmerman’s calls to police allowed in but Martin’s phone images and texts not?

If found Guilty, Zimmerman will have plenty of cause to file appeals for years

IMHO, you should reconsider feeling for them. They raised him in their own image. They have behaved horrendously from the beginning. I don't even think they noticed he was missing until the following day.

I can't read their minds, but from their words and actions, their is no doubt in my mind that their main emotions regarding the death of their son were

1) Relief - They were glad that they wouldn't have to deal with this thuggish pain in the rear end son of theirs and all his problems.

2) Ecstasy! Once Crump got to them they believed they had won the lottery, and will receive great financial gain and celebrity from the death of their no-good son.

The article goes into a sickening irrational screed condemning Zimmerman for murder and the police of being biased toward Zimmerman and how the poor parents of Martin felt.

While I can sympathize that the parents of Martin must be feeling horrible pain, and I can understand how they might sadly allow themselves to be driven to irrational hatred and blame on Zimmerman...the reason Zimmerman was not arrested was because he was the victim that was screaming for his life with Martin savegely beating his head into concrete. The person responsible for Martin's tragic death is Martin himself.

Although it is understandable, though disappointing, how the parents of Martin would shift blame away from their own son, who brutally beat a man's head into concrete, toward the innocent man who acted in self defense when screaming for help did not work as he was being pounded senseless and likely to death....but how a whole movement of irrational blood thirsty bigots arose who also blamed Zimmerman and forced the absurd charges of murder in this case on the head of the victim who survived by fighting back is truly sickening.
