What Gay Marriage Has Done to Massachusetts: It's far worse than most people realize
Massresistance.org ^ | Oct 20, 2008 | by Brian Camenker

Posted on 06/26/2013 11:14:07 AM PDT by AnalogReigns

Anyone who thinks that same-sex “marriage” is a benign eccentricity which won’t affect the average person should consider what it has done in Massachusetts. It’s become a hammer to force the acceptance and normalization of homosexuality on everyone. And this train is moving fast. What has happened so far is only the beginning.

On November 18, 2003, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court announced its Goodridge opinion, ruling that it was unconstitutional not to allow same-sex “marriage.” Six months later, homosexual marriages began to be performed.

The public schools

The homosexual “marriage” onslaught in public schools across the state started soon after the November 2003, court decision.

Public health

Domestic violence

Business

Legal profession

Adoption of children to homosexual “married” couples

Government mandates

The public square

The media

Is gay marriage actually legal in Massachusetts?

Like everywhere else in America, the imposition of same-sex marriage on the people of Massachusetts was a combination of radical, arrogant judges and pitifully cowardly politicians.

The Goodridge ruling resulted in a complete cave-in by politicians of both parties on this issue. Same-sex “marriage” is still illegal in Massachusetts. On November 18, 2003 the court merely ruled that it was unconstitutional not to allow it, and gave the Legislature six months to “take such action as it may deem appropriate.”  Note that the Massachusetts Constitution strongly denies courts the power to make or change laws, or from ordering the other branches to take any action. The constitution effectively bans “judicial review” – a court changing or nullifying a law. Thus, the court did not order anything to happen; it simply rendered an opinion on that specific case. And the Legislature did nothing. The marriage statutes were never changed. However, against the advice of many, Gov. Romney took it upon himself to alter the state's marriage licenses to say "Party A and Party B" and order officials to perform same-sex "weddings" if asked, though he had no legal obligation to do so. Technically, same-sex marriages are still illegal in Massachusetts.

Nevertheless, we are having to live with it.  And furthermore, this abdication of their proper constitutional roles by the Legislature and Governor has caused a domino effect as "copycat" rulings have been issued in California and Connecticut, with other states fearful it will happen there.

In conclusion

Homosexual “marriage” hangs over society like a hammer with the force of law. And it’s only just begun.

It’s pretty clear that the homosexual movement’s obsession with marriage is not because large numbers of them actually want to marry each other. Research shows that homosexual relationships are fundamentally dysfunctional on many levels, and “marriage” as we know it isn’t something they can achieve, or even desire. (In fact, over the last three months, the Sunday Boston Globe’s marriage section hasn’t had any photos of homosexual marriages. In the beginning it was full of them.) This is about putting the legal stamp of approval on homosexuality and imposing it with force throughout the various social and political institutions of a society that would never accept it otherwise. To the rest of America: You've been forewarned.

•Given the extreme dysfunctional nature of homosexual relationships, the Massachusetts Legislature has felt the need to spend more money every year to deal with skyrocketing homosexual domestic violence. This year $350,000 was budgeted, up $100,000 from last year.”

How about giving all gay couples free pistols??

This is what we get when we FAIL to OBEY God.
For it is written: Those who support homosexuals are against our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ.
These anti Christ people only bring destruction on us ALL.
I have NO sympathy for homosexuals!

Homosexuality is a "Mark" of disobedience.
Someone once asked The answer is in the definition of "REPROBATE". And the reason"why" is given in the Bible.

God has a cure for homosexuals.

"Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect
that God is just,
that his justice cannot sleep forever."

This is another sad day. I am a Christian woman who about 20 years ago lived a homosexual lifestyle and I’m just thankful to the Lord that He led me out of it. Whatever people say about it doesn’t matter, God’s Word is true. Those relationships are not just another type of loving relationship. It’s like saying divorce and out-of-wedlock relationships are good when they’re not. The Lord led me to start writing to advertisers of the evening news when the networks weren’t covering the Kermit Gosnell trial, and now I’m continuing to do that for other issues too. Many of our Christian leaders and organizations have been around for a long time and have sort of gotten fat and comfortable. It’s time for individual Christians to take the lead again. I believe this is part of the Lord’s work since the people run this country. We’re responsible to Him to do our part. We maybe can’t stop gay marriage and everything else that opposes God’s will, but whatever we do will still reach people for the Lord.

I agree. Time has come to put your complaints into action. If you don’t like it and cannot change it (as it appears that changing things is well nigh impossible), get out.

Get out now. As soon as you can. Move your entire extended family if you have to.

Don’t feed the animals.

A far fetched thought, if all the true, or at least right leaning, people actually left hard core blue states and moved to light purple states they could shift the balance of power. Just like the dims and fags are trying to do in Texas and did in other states (Colorado).

There comes a point when enough is enough, I could not face my children knowing I exposed them to such deviancy on a daily basis.

No——it is all about normalizing pederasty (Sandusky/elites/Franklin Cover-up obsession with boys). You have to normalize the acts while boys are forming their sexual identity in early childhood and during Latency. This “normalization” will erase Christianity—which is the object of Marxists/Marxism and will eliminate the concepts of Mother and Father in children-—so State can take over children and children will be happy to be slaves and institutionalized. They will have no concept of “normal”—Natural Laws (Reason).

Just like what they are allowed in Saudi/Afghani countries today-—normalization of hatred for the opposite sex and obsession with boys for lust of the men. As Shoebat stated on Michael Savage show-—all the Saudi elites prefer boys for sex. That is where we are headed.

Given the trajectory of things, I really think it is time for Christians who value freedom to think about immigrating overseas. I do not know where...(Poland?(lowest abortion rate in the world) Central or South America?), but still, things are looking grim for religious freedom in the good ol’ USA.

We are no longer a “light on a hill” for liberty...or goodness.

Exactly. I hear people saying all the time...leave.

Some of us simply cannot. I am married, a vow I take seriously, and my wife isn’t interested in moving because the state isn’t conservative enough for me. She was born and grew up here, I moved here as a teen.

But even still, liberalism is not something that stops at state borders. It is a metastasizing cancer, expressing itself in liberal legislative actions everywhere. Liberal actions are largely a one way ratchet, and territory surrendered is rarely taken back. The water level rises a few inches each day, never (or rarely) to recede.

We get freepers from places such as Texas (A state I highly respect, by the way) who believe that cutting the east coast and California off the west coast will solve all the problems, and...it won’t.

Even Texas (to use the example) has liberal lunacy in their state policies and legislative actions, and anyone who thinks they are protected in some way needs to look again.

We have to do two things: Restrict the overpowering, overweening, unrestricted power of the Federal Government, and restore the right of states to act in their own best interests where the Constitution allows it.

Ultimately, the gay intrusion into our lives via media will reach a breaking point. There will be oversaturation and the gay media complex will collapse.

The real harm is the medical harm. The CDC has numbers and so do a lot of other international organizations: gays are the biggest proponent of spreading STD’s.

The media hides that information well, but year after year, city after city, and state after state, the rates of dangerous STD’s go up and up and up and it’s always traced back to homosexuals.

It’s one of those things where you just sit back and wait.....their movement will collapse in on itself in a spectacular fashion because there will someday be more homosexuals with multiple STD’s than there are homosexuals who don’t have STD’s.

Massachusetts for whatever reason seems to be much more demonically infested than my own Washington State where queer marriage is legal also, but little of this is happening other than the wedding ceremonies themselves. Don’t get me wrong, I detest and despise the whole thing, but people in other states won’t necessarily have to endure the full Massachusetts treatment regarding aggressive homosexual agenda propaganda in education and the like, at least not early on. I pray it stays that way. All I really notice is constant gay feature stories in Seattle newspapers and web sites and it’s easy to avoid them. People in the eastern rural part of the state where I live didn’t vote for this and aren’t complicit in it, including most teachers in public schools.
