(Tipton Co., TN) A homeowner was shot in the leg by an intruder early Tuesday.
The alarm system and sounds of someone downstairs woke the homeowner, who grabbed a handgun and went to the stairs.
Thats where he encountered an armed intruder, who began shooting at him.
The homeowner said he returned fire, and was shot in the leg. He was taken to the Med for treatment.
Authorities say some of the details provided to them are still unclear. Detectives are questioning people and tracking down possible leads.
This was a very violent situation where luckily the homeowner wasnt injured any worse than he was. He was able to defend himself from an armed intruder which may have very well saved his life. Im thankful that his injuries were not life threatening considering the deadly situation he was faced with Sheriff J.T. Pancho Chumley said.
Yes, the victim is lucky. The only way this could’ve turned out better is if the perp was pushing up daisies now.
Obviously a sheriff with common sense who views an armed citizenry as allies rather than a threat. And who views criminals as the enemy rather than allies or distractions from the main goal of the ruling class in keeping the peasants in line.
I'm sure he will be asked to resign shortly.
resign? Heck, we just got him trained good.
Politically correct - lol. I remember a few years ago when the press came down on the democrats for the annual “coon supper” held by Jimmy Naifeh at the country club in Covington.
Most people in Covington vote for their “old” friends or family.
He is lucky. Still I cannot see how he came out on the short end. He is at the top of his stairs, he knows the layout of the house and stairs are a natural defensive position. The goblin to come up walks into a funnel or murder hole if the home owner can hit anything with a gun.
