Rabbi: DOMA Defeat Evidence of 'Upside Down World'
Israel National News/Arutz-7 ^ | 27JUN2013 | David Lev

Posted on 06/27/2013 6:46:19 AM PDT by Jack Hydrazine

Rabbi Yoel Schoenfeld, Rabbi of the Young Israel of Kew Garden Hills in Queens, New York, told Arutz Sheva that the decision Wednesday by the U.S. Supreme Court striking down key parts of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), paving the way for greater acceptance of gay marriage, was a major step backwards for humanity that goes all the back to the Biblical Bila'am, whose donkey spoke to him.

What baffles me is the argument. 87 congress members and a president are racist because sodomizers have rights ?

The Chief Justice can set the rule of the the arguments of merit to the case before the court. It’s done every day it’s known as “the judge won’t allow”. Because the administration now favors “gay marriage” I wouldn’t expect what could be called a healthy defence from them. Sodomy wasn’t the issue . The issue was protecting the integrity and intention of a basic unit of society through a mechanisim known as marriage to encourage familys.

What should we expect from a political party which itself has gone through a marriage with one world socialist radicals known to many as communists who can’t even use the word God. They’ve hyphenated into Demo-Coms.

Thank you, Rabbi, for your wisdom and guidance which will be summarily ignored by the vast majority of our countrymen.

The world pushed by the MSM is upside down for the 3% gays and their sympathizers, but the majority of Americans are God-fearing, normal people.

So now many people may seek Shalom, seeing what Shalom is NOT. There is always an upside. :)

Seeking normality when the donkey speaks is the playground of children, animation artists and dead societies.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Same-sex_marriage

Thirteen countries (Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark,[nb 1] France, Iceland, the Netherlands,[nb 2] Norway, Portugal, Spain, South Africa, Sweden) allow same-sex couples to marry nationwide, while New Zealand[nb 3] and Uruguay will allow it from August 2013. Same-sex marriages are also performed in parts of the United States and Mexico. Jurisdictions that do not perform same-sex marriage but recognize it when performed elsewhere include Israel, Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten, Mexico and the United States(By federal law only).[15] Australia recognizes same-sex marriages only if one partner has had gender reassignment therapy.[16]

Various faith communities around the world support allowing same-sex couples to marry or conduct same-sex marriage ceremonies; for example: Quakers, U.S. Episcopalians, the Metropolitan Community Church, the United Church of Christ, the United Church of Canada, Buddhism in Australia, Reform and Conservative Jews, Wiccans, Druids, Unitarian Universalists, and Native American religions with a two-spirit tradition, as well as various progressive and modern Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, and Jewish groups and various minor religions and other denominations.

Upside down world, yes, but words of great comfort at the end: maybe this is what we have to go through before the coming in glory of the Messiah.

Isaiah 5

20 Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter.
21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes
and clever in their own sight.

Yes- we should feel sorry for those lost souls, they are enslaved to the Chaos monster.

The Lord offers order, they are stuck in disorder.

Their lives are a dark and empty abyss, and full of conflict, which steals their peace and rest.

They could kill off everything of order and God’s civility, and they would still be miserable.

It doesn’t really matter how they voted at this point, because God is in charge. We are always reminded that we too once walked in darkness, and to never be unwelcoming to those who choose the light.

This is not the time to draw boundaries and judge people for their past mistakes .

Who knows, perhaps Obama himself, will see the light and repent.

The Lord can do it, if he chooses to turn Obama’s heart. We should unite in prayer for our country, not chase people away.

Next big move for family destruction disguised as “equality” is multi-partner “marriage”… after all “gay marriage” is based on the now outmoded Male/Female model (couple)… that’s now arbitrary and discriminatory! We mustn’t be “twoist” (only two can marry? Why?). We are no longer “One Nation Under God”… we are splintered nation under whatever godless group shouts the loudest! Old Serpent is estatic!

You should get your facts straight before you make blanket statements about “Temples”.

This is an Orthodox Rabbi, 60+ percent who voted for Romney.

Orthodox Jews are consistently politically conservative, are religiously observant, and share common values with Christians. Many of them are in fact long time freepers. Reform Jews are what you may be thinking of, 60+ percent who voted for Obama. They do not keep any of the Jewish Laws in their daily life.

Think before you have knee-jerk reactions about all “Jews”. There are VERY clear distinctions.

I gotta coworker who follows all the laws especially dietary and he is liberal as hell and he even turned against Israel to side with Obama. Under Bush who he hated he used to defend Israel,
so I am still skeptical.

Are you in the category that you describe?

Polygamy is going to be an interesting question because while it will be illegal for Mormons it will be legal for Muslims.

Interesting a rabbi today comparing immorality to Balaam's day. So did Peter the Apostle in the New Testament:

"With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed—an accursed brood! They have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Bezer, who loved the wages of wickedness. But he was rebuked for his wrongdoing by a donkey—an animal without speech—who spoke with a human voice and restrained the prophet’s madness." (II Peter 2:14-16)
