What once was one of Americas most respected medical institutions, the AMAOh, hogwash. The AMA has never been anything other than a cartel monger for the medical profession, controlling who can enter, what constitutes medical practice (homeopathic medicine, anyone?), and how many doctors medical schools are allowed to graduate. This whole thing is ntohing out of line for them.

Are we more stupid as a nation? Of course. First of all, we've just about eliminated "survival of the fittest" to cull out a lot of the least capable. Then we've imported people to further populate the bottom tiers of intellectual accomplishment, gotta' keep those wages low, and mygosh do they procreate. Then we've taken educational institutions, even the most elite, and filled them with students who lack the ability to learn. We've eliminated almost all hs courses that lead to good jobs in trades and small business formation.
So what do we do with the mess? Well, we spend billions of dollars and encourage massive debt to overqualify uncapable folks for jobs that don't exist.
The movie IDIOCRACY from a few years back is looking more like a documentary and less like a satire every day.

(see my #22)
best movie ever (Idiocracy)
Is it a psychic's vision of the Obama administration? Is it a satire or a documentary? Love the movie, too....but I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
