PHILADELPHIA (AP) Hillary Rodham Clinton, whose lifelong public service career includes turns as secretary of state, presidential candidate, senator and first lady, is the recipient of the 2013 Liberty Medal.
Clinton will receive the medal in a Sept. 10 ceremony at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. She was not in attendance for Thursday's announcement.
Liberty Medal sponsors and partners said Clinton's nearly four decades of public service exemplify the qualities that the award was established to honor, from her groundbreaking outreach to global leaders to her continuing work to advance opportunities for the world's girls and women.
"The Liberty Medal recognizes individuals who have furthered the ideals of freedom, democracy, and equality, often against great odds," said Jeffrey Rosen, National Constitution Center president and CEO. "Hillary Clinton has devoted her life to expanding opportunities for 'We the People' not just in this country but around the globe." snip

What difference, at this point, does it make?!
She sure liberated four of our diplomats in Benghazi...
Nice work bee atch.
Yeah, she only lost an Ambassador on her watch. Talk about devaluing a medal. I’ll bet even John Kerry couldn’t be bothered to throw it over the White House fence. (as long as it wasn’t his).
Is this the award that’s going to be presented to her by Jeb Bush?
I hope Christopher Stevens is able to attend.
I know he’d love to see her getting such an award.
4 decades of public service? since when is working for the rose law firm public service?
I would like to hear on just one thing she’s done that turned out successful (as the term is commonly accepted).
She’s got the Midas Touch in reverse...everything she touches turns to s***t.
Hillary Rodham Clinton, whose lifelong public service career...
If that's service, I'd sure hate to encounter plundering.
This is just another example of how far the world has sunk into the slime.
like the nobel pseudo peace prize and time’s thing of the year, this has been perverted to meaninglessness.
Well, she did clean house at the White House travel office?
Really-—no really what has HC done to make the USA or the world any better? What? Other than the media fawning all over her like she’s some star. Michelle Bachmann is a more deserving woman to receive the award but she’s dogmeat to those cretins.
Well she did send the Russians that red reset switch. An historical event of epic proportions.
What a FREAKING laugh! The Clintons serve no one but themselves.
Well deserved- much like BHO’s Peace Prize.
Heck of a job.
Judging from that list of past recipients, it looks like some kind of Commie Lib Award the commies give to each other.
"That &%#@*! I need a reset."
I am sure that Chris Stevens is sooo proud....oh wait
