Coulter: Chris Christie's 'Dead to Me'
Breitbart.com ^ | 27 June 2013 | Breitbart Staff

Ann Coulter, who had been one of Gov. Chris Christie's biggest cheerleaders, is a fan no more. She tweeted on Thursday that Christie is "dead" to her after Sen. Jeffrey Chiesa (R-NJ), the Senator whom Christie appointed after the death of Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ), voted to end debate on the Immigration Reform Bill.

“I always knew Ann would turn around on Christie. Heck, I even liked the guy for a while”...yep, and Marco the traiter too!

VERY well said.
I LOVED Christie for a while; then I saw what we now all see.
Ann stayed on the wagon too long, true, but, as you say, we all make mistakes.

Hey, get it right! Ann’s the turncoat. Her likes are Romney, Christie. You still need to be smacked around some more - being a slow leader is not a conservative trait.

Ann is an entrepreneur, she sees the winds shifting and is adapting to suit the market.

That is the problem with jumping on political bandwagons before vetting the potential candidates.

Look at the FR threads from January through April of 2012. Many got splinters and strains from jumping from one derailed bandwagon to the next.

Similar with 2008, especially with the Thompson-ites — who didn’t even bother to look at some of his Senate accomplishments — such as, the original campaign finance reform bill — known then as Thompson-McCain-Feingold.

I am in a late primary state, so I have no need to jump on any bandwagon. Both in 2008 and 2012 the GOP nominee was decided weeks before my state primary, thus making the process irrelevant. That did give me the opportunity to throw mud at all of them and laugh as bandwagon after bandwagon derailed. Many times, I would ask: Is THIS the best the GOP can find?

Maybe, the GOP eventually will try electing statesmen rather than professional politicians. There is a big difference.

That I can totally agree with. One cannot be conservative while compromising one’s principles. Does-not-compute.

She liked Romney before she liked Christie. So it’s ‘not a mistake’.

She may have burned her bridges a long time ago but her bridge on Fox News is still intact.

It’s about time she is seeing Christie for what he is — an opportunist!!!

Birds of a feather flock together

Spot on.

I like Christie...as the governor of New Jersey. Nothing surprise me anymore, though. I’m waiting for Hitlery to run..and pick Christie as a running mate. Heck, nothing’s impossible anymore..especially when Soros’ money is throwing money at both of them.

And don’t forget her trashing of ‘birthers’. And she is a constitutional lawyer? She just wants a broad spectrum for her book sales.

“Sorry, I just made a mistake” doesn’t cut it. It was OBVIOUS what Mitt Romney was. He gave us the first mandated gay marriage in the country. He gave us Romneycare, the model for Obamacare. He “saved” the Olympics by arranging a huge federal subsidy. He pushed through tax-funded abortions and sex change operations. And on and on. All this long before Ann supported him for President.

Same with Christie. It was obvious what he was long before Ann supported him. No surprise there, if you took the trouble of actually looking at what he DID.

And Ann is not dumb. She is very sharp. She must have known exactly what she was doing.

I feel conflicted about this, because she was a long-time friend of FR, and because she IS smart and writes terrific stuff. But, regrettably, she jumped the shark, presumably because she mistakenly saw some advantage in backing those guys. Maybe just hoping to get on board the winning train with Karl Rove and company.

Ann, dear, I really like you and what you stand for. However, you seem to have the batting average of George Castanza... All your lovers seem to go to bat for the other team (his turned into the ‘gay’ crowd if you remember)

Romney, Christie, Rubio...That’s a count of three strikes In baseball you would be out.

To be honest it’s not really Ann’s fault. I don’t see anyone in the GOP worth going to the walls for at this point. Not only are there no real leaders - there’s not a statesman among them. Same goes for the dems.

Excuses are not answers. It IS her fault. She is an adult that made a conscious decision to repeatedly back libs.

Ann, I hate to tell you this, BUT I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!

He’s a big fat buffoon whose only goal is his own political advancement.

If you’re looking for core political principles in Chris Christie, I suggest you check out Marcus Licinius Crassus, Gnaeus Pompeius Magnus, Julius Caesar, Augustus Caesar, Mark Anthony or Marcus Lepidus for an sample of of what his are.

With Christie its all about personal power, what will get Christie in the Oval Office.

That’s it in a nutshell.
