A resident of the Florida community where George Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin last year after a confrontation took the stand Friday and described going out to investigate a noise and seeing one person straddling another and throwing punches down at the person on the ground.
John Good said he was watching TV with his wife when they heard a noise and he went out to investigate, despite his wife warning him not to. At first, he thought a dog might be attacking someone, but as he moved closer, he said he observed what looked like "a tussle" between two people.
"It looked like a tussle," Good said. "I could only see one person. At one point, I yelled out, 'What's going on? Stop it,' I believe," Good said.
Under questioning by Prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda, Good said one of the combatants was straddling a man lying face up on the pavement, and throwing punches. The testimony appeared to corroborate Zimmerman's claims that he shot the 17-year-old African-American with a legally registered gun in self defense, as he was being pummeled.

Witnesses like this are the best the prosecution has.
They are relying entirely on fear of riots for any hope of a conviction at all.
This is a political show trial.
Most other days as well.
“Look at his girlfriend.
He was a tiny and BLIND twelve-year-old.”
And, she was saving him for her next meal.
Can this witness read letters in cursive that he has written himself?
A ‘tussle’? Is that like a scuffle? From Zimmerman’s injuries it looked more like a ‘beat-down’.
Treyvon was a thug. Self defense. Innocent.
This case against Zimmerman never should have been brought, and if acquitted I hope he sues the appropriate people for malicious prosecution and violation of his civil rights.

Just to keep things straight. It is known, and acknowledged that Rachel The Hut did not write that letter. A “friend” of hers wrote it for her. But,,,, she probably can’t even print.
I thought it was claimed that she wrote it? Not the case?

I think we’re at the point where a normal judge would look at the prosecutor and ask if they had any evidence at all to support their claim and if not, dismiss the case.
Of course, the one on top throwing punches was yelling help...
The screen shot you posted says “lighter skinned person was punching other one.” Who is telling the truth here? Is the news station telling a deliberate lie? I’m confused.

A lot of people have that false impression. She did not write the letter, and testified to that at some time. Here’s a comment from one of the sleuths over at The Conservative Treehouse, where they’re very deep into this case;
“The letter that Rachel Jeantel gave to Sybrina on 3.19.2012 per RJ testimony was signed per Rachel Jeantel’s testimony with the name “Diamond Eugene”.
If found this talk of a reported affidavit interesting in connection with this signed letter that Rachel Jeantel testified to giving to Sybrina the prior day.
Also when Ben Crump, IIRC, stated that he only knew her first name at the time of the interview is that because the name was signed “Diamond Eugene” on the letter. Technically he could see the letter and claim he didn’t know her last name since Eugene apparently isn’t Rachel’s last name.”
There’s a lot more about the letter, but you’d have to search.
