As expected the Islamists are failing to improve the lot of Egyptians. The price of bread is rising, young people cannot find jobs and the economy is contracting. There is a huge amount of discontent. The great uncertainty is to what extent Mursi controls the army. Civil unrest and violence is a likelihood. However if the Army stages a coup, Egypt will suffer the fate of Algeria.

About 200 combat capable Marines in Sigonella, Italy, and Moron, Spain . . . They're United States Marines; of course they are combat capable. It's the Community-organizer-in-chief that is in question when it comes to defending our Embassy.
