SAN FRANCISCO – The lead plaintiffs in the U.S. Supreme Court case that overturned California's same-sex marriage ban tied the knot at San Francisco City Hall on Friday, about an hour after an appeals court cleared the way for same-sex couples to obtain marriage licenses for the first time in 4 1/2 years.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals had issued a brief order Friday afternoon dissolving a stay it imposed on gay marriages while the lawsuit challenging Proposition 8 worked its way through the courts.
Sponsors of California's same-sex marriage ban said the appeals court's decision was "disgraceful."
Anthony Pugno, general counsel for a coalition of religious conservative groups, called the 9th Circuit's order an "outrageous act" by judges and politicians determined to overturn Proposition 8.
He called the court's decision an "abuse of power to manipulate the system and render the people voiceless."

But you know who is at greatest fault? The American people, especially the so called Christians and conservatives. Cowards, all of us, myself included. A travesty of justice has just occurred but all we will do is moan to the choir on blogs and message boards and talk shows.
If tomorrow a judge in Russia did the same thing, what would be the result? Violent demonstrations, burning government buildings, tank columns rolling through cities. The ruling would be withdrawn and the judge would be lucky to escape with just prison. How would any Muslim nation on earth respond to such a ruling? How would America of 100 years ago respond to something like this?
The Constitution itself is only a piece of paper. The ideas enshrined in it derive their power from the hearts and minds of the people of the republic. If the population is lazy and apathetic, no written law can protect them from tyranny.
I think most people with good sense know the country is doomed anyway, so why waste more time and energy clinging to crumbling rocks while we all fall off a cliff?

exactly, this is insane, millions upon millions spoke twice and they knew that the voters were going to the polls and they lost and so they went judge shopping , found a homosexual judge who should have never ruled as he benefits from his own decisions and he should have recused himself but alas to them turd and feces poking is a better turn on and more of their lives than the law and millions of us.
Now these two woman hate men but one of them acts like a man who then has ot wear a strap on too and they wonder why most of the country thinks of them as nuts and mental nutcases

I’m with you. This has been one of the biggest propaganda pushes I’ve seen in my lifetime. It is irrational it is not just wrong from a religious spiritual perspective but from a physical perspective. The whole thing speaks to a reduction of humanity to level of baseness that flies in the face of what was America.
America was the place where people were not defined by their birth condition. A place where a deaf blind girl could rise to be a famous author and speaker. Where a poor farm boy could rise from nothing to be one of the richest men in the world. It was a place where men were called to be honorable and to seek righteousness in the face of the weakness of their own flesh. Not to embrace their flawed desires but to rule them and to seek redemption and forgiveness when they failed not be prideful and bold in their imperfections/sin.
The gay ideology is born of the socialist ideology both teach birth defeatism which feeds dependence. The American dream becomes not an opportunity to be achieved through exercise of individual liberty but something that must be distributed by a benevolent centralized government.
Why deal with one’s flaws and limits and try to exceed them when the government can just paper over them with bureaucratic bliss. Not only will it redistribute wealth but it will redistribute labels calling your flaws good and others strengths weaknesses and bigotry.
How is the propaganda distributed?
Cable TV. News/entertainment, etc.
Maybe pull the plug?
That just leaves us isolated as an island in a land of tyranny. Yes pull the plug but we also have to get better at distributing our positions and getting them across and around the msm. The good thing is there is an internet the bad thing is msm and academic brainwashing controls far too much of the root messaging. Paper media is losing ground and cable news and preprogrammed media is losing influence but not with enough people yet especially when people are self silencing on issues. You can’t let your opponent rule the stage unless you expect to be forever in the crowd watching.
