Earlier this afternoon, we reported on how despite the controversy over her past use of racial epithets, celebrity cook Paula Deen is experiencing a surge in book sales on retailer Amazon. The sales spike was so strong that her newest book, Paula Deen’s New Testament, hit #1 on the site’s Best Seller list despite not being released until October.
It turns out those huge pre-sale numbers are for naught. The book’s publisher has canceled its release.
In a statement released Friday afternoon, Ballantine Books announced it has dropped Deen and will not publish Paula Deen’s New Testament: 250 Favorite Recipes, All Lightened Up, despite its pre-sale soaring to #1 on the Amazon chart this week.

Hell, the black community even celebrated OJ’s acquittal after he nearly lopped the heads off two white people. If a white person says or does anything even perceived to be racist, however, the black community collectively pounces on them. They are chomping at the bit to judge and they will never, ever give a white person accused of racism a second chance.

As for the current story, it was about a cookbook as per the headline. Of course, the whole story is behind the dropping of the book is ridiculous.

How can they be racist? Saying nigger or cracker is not considered racist but slang, according to the Zimmerman prosecution witness Jeantille or hippo or whatever the ignorant broad said. That was accepted.
The only ones going after Baldwin are TMZ..which I am surprised about since Harvey Levin is a lib and is gay..they are saying that if Baldwin were a Republican the media would be outraged, but since Baldwin is a lib he can get away with it. If Deen wasn’t a Southern woman who loved high carb food I don’t think this would be happening. Look at Martha Stewart. She went to prison but is still a liberal celeb.
I never said she was a saint nor do I believe she should be treated any way different from the melanin enhanced species. They treat whites the same way she MAY have treated the special class. Period. I don’t think she was ever involved in the knock out game.
