New Orleans cops did the same after Hurricane Katrina.
The usurper is taking notes.
Why did they leave their guns ehind?
Man, having your home ransacked by the police. That just sucks. Who can you trust anymore. What a scam. Officer where is my Rollex?
Officer, what rollex, we only took your guns. Non of the 4 rollex watches on my arm will be returned. Oh and your movie collection...
Enquiring minds want to know.
I am surprised they still own guns in Canada.
Now the criminals know the can loot at will.
Yep, shades of Katrina.
The police are the enemy of freedom.
many are. sad thing is it makes people not trust the good ones, out of their own self-safety.
As an ex-canuck, the province of AB is as close as you can get to being Texas. Not only is it conservative and choc full of oil, but the home of separatist movement in canada. However, the national police called The RCMP or Mounties’ never liked the idea of firearms being freely owned by citizens.
So what did they do when faced with a serious gun safe? I want to know the details on this. Serious torch / cutting wheel action, permanently damaging the citizens’ secure storage?
The whole thing appears despicable. So something Obama would likely try, if he thought he could get away with it.
Last time I checked if you were a firearms owner in Canada they do not require a warrant to search your premises .
Sections 102-105 of the Firearms Act
“Commenting on the police actions, Alberta Premier Allison Redford said on Thursday, These are exceptional circumstances, in an emergency situation we have to have our police ensuring that there is law and order,
Well Hell, they just went against the law, and as far as order, breaking into homes isn’t order.
>>> having your home ransacked by the police
Firearms may not be the only thing(s) they are looking for.
Don’t know how normal citizens are going to be able to evacuate lugging gun safe around .......
Illegally entering homes? Didn’t US law enforcement do this in Boston recently?
Like prevention of theft?
No, I guess not.
I believe the Alberta AG has control over what the RCMP does or does not do in Alberta so the pressure belongs there even more than on Harper.
Basically the provinces contract with the RCMP to do their rural policing - not all, but most do.
B. Govt just proving that someone could break in and steal arms.
Those rascally guns will form a gang all of their selves!
“police ensuring that there is law and order;” You’ve said it, davetex.< Hitler and his type love natural disasters, where the police can search, just because it’s a “disaster.”
