Paul Ryan Leading House for 'Amnesty' Deal
NewsMax ^ | June 29, 2013

Posted on 06/29/2013 1:41:35 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Paul Ryan, the Republican congressman and former vice-presidential candidate best known for his war on spending, is emerging as his party's leading champion of immigration reform in the U.S. House of Representatives.

With Senate passage of a sweeping immigration bill imminent, Ryan has been meeting with House conservatives to persuade them that reform of the immigration system, including a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, is an economic necessity and critical to fixing the nation's fiscal problems.

Ryan, a potential 2016 presidential contender, sees himself as a "bridge builder" between immigration advocacy groups and reluctant Republicans, he said in an interview with Reuters.

He argues that the immigration system is broken and must be overhauled. "It doesn't work for national security. It doesn't work for economic security," Ryan said.

Bridges to the liberals will be burned by the liberals once the usefulness of the bridge builder is deemed to be used up.

Heritage has accepted your challenge to debate this issue, Congressman. So lets do it.

Someone who is as confident this bill is what America needs right now as you apparently are should be able to easily win.

I am relishing the possibility.

Not quite, the Governors could throw a huge monkey-wrench into the works. (We'd only need a few, and it'd be best if they acted fast though.)

How can this bunch be so out of touch with what is actually the best for America. Where do they get these crazy ideas that this will be good for any of us. How can they be so out of touch with the people. Even the polls show them the majority do not want this amnesty deal.

They’d better go home and attend the town hall meetings... and get a clue!!

Ryan has been SUCH a disappointment. So has Rubio. Who else is left that is not a turncoat? Cruz.

What in the world is in the water in Washington!!! They all seem to drink from the same fountain!

Ryan needs to receive a call from Palin describing what his future will be if he leads the effort to pass amnesty in the House. I wonder if he will care or if he has sold his soul to those who would end America?

Ryan is an idiot. He proved that in the last election. Anybody who can;t even beat that Court Jester Moron Biden in a debate is worthless.

He and his RINO buddies think they can sell the same damn defective product in the 2016 elections and win.

Make sure you contact all your Representatives and tell them they can take the GOP to hell as far you are concerned if this thing passes.

Deeply disappointing. The scary thing is that he can be effective. If he gets his Bill passed in the House, they’ll send it to conference and try to meld it with the Senate. The result will be worse than either Bill. Better for the House to pass nothing.

But, Congress can’t seem to do nothing. They have to meddle constantly with bad results.

Also from interview with Ingraham

Ryan locked horns with Laura Ingraham on Friday during a radio interview

… “When the baby boomers retire — we’re not like Europe, we’re not like Japan, where their birth rates are really low, but they’re not high enough. Immigration, in a decade or so, can help us,” Ryan said.

Ingraham pushed back against Ryan’s claims, citing the Congressional Budget Office’s report on the economic impacts of the impending bill.

“If the amnesty happens, those people are going to be able to compete across every job line, across every employment sector,” Ingraham said. “And the CBO report said that this approach … would drive wages down. How can Paul Ryan, the man behind the growth agenda, say that driving American wages down is a good thing over the next twelve years, for that class that is struggling in Wisconsin and beyond?” link

Even if the House passes a “border security bill” the Senate will merge it with their horrible Amnesty bill.

Only chance to stop the Amnesty bill is for the House not to consider any immigration related bill at all.

Michelle Bachman explained it. ANY House bill no matter if it promises all the border security in the world will be a trojan horse.NO bill at all must come out of the House because it will be merged with the Senate Amnesty and trojan horse bill. Call congress.

Tell them to stop all Amnesty or immigration bills.they are all trojan horse bills. some will promise border security that will never be enforced anyway.

Bachmann explained it . The House will write a border security bill only . then in conference the senate will add the virus and then bring it back to the house. then the conservatives won’t vote for it but democrats will all vote for it so then they only need 10% of republicans to pass Amnesty and the virus that will destroy America. so any bill at all will be added the virus . so best thing is for Boner to not let any immigration bill at all come out of the House. that is the only hope . call boner and the members of the House.

Tom Tancredo echos what Michelle Bachmann said.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3036438/posts

call congress . no bill at all from the House
