Kerry Extends Diplomacy – Possible Sign of Progress

US Secretary of State John Kerry extended for a third day on Saturday his shuttle diplomacy between Israeli and Palestinian leaders, raising speculation of progress in reviving long dormant "peace talks."

In a sign of Kerry's desire to keep negotiating, AFP reported, he paid a rare visit to Jerusalem during Shabbat – the sabbath day.

Kerry arrived just before sundown to see Peres, with aides warning that the two would have been obliged to cancel a photo opportunity after the sabbath began at around 7:15 pm. Peres, realising that they were cutting it close, quipped that the sabbath began at 7:30 pm in Tel Aviv and said: "Let's do a Tel Aviv Shabbat."

In a commute to which he has grown accustomed, Kerry was scheduled to take a helicopter from Jerusalem to Amman to see Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas before returning in the evening to follow up with Israeli leaders.

In a potential sign of headway, AFP added, Kerry cancelled a dinner he had scheduled for Saturday night in Abu Dhabi, part of his separate tour in the past week through Gulf Arab states to coordinate support for rebels in Syria's civil war.

Wonder how much American money Kerry is committing to get another sham agreement.

As long he’s photographed mediating a hand shake and can leave via Ben Gurion without getting shot at, he doesn’t give shag-all what happens later.

Both parties know Kerry is a dupe, and they will get what they can out of him. What is Obama getting out of him? Is Kerry going to announce that he is gay?

>>> Is Kerry going to announce that he is gay?>>>

More likely, he’ll ask “Did you know that I served in Viet Nam.”

The solution is to let Israel win. Problem solved.

"Palestine" is a make believe country and "Palestinians" need to go back to Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, or wherever the hell they're from.

It just means that Israel will be betrayed, yet again. And, the American taxpayer will be paying throat-cutting Islamics to be our enemies, yet again.

I think Kerry will challenge Hillary for the Democrat nomination in 2016.

Prediction

B0 and Kerry will announce a glorious dramatic diplomatic victory. “Peace in Our Time!”
Hugs and Nobel Peace prizes all around. The Media will express amazement at the astonishing success.

(Should I mention — It won’t last long.)

Skerry - a complete joke.

Mideast peace - another laugher as long as the Moslems still exist.

Taqiyya.

Since Oslo, (1993) it's always been a “hurry, hurry, hurry to sign a worthless piece of paper” process.

Kerry will not bring the two sides together because the Palestinian mob is not yet mature or enlightened enough to make peace with Israel - not for a long time to come. When the Palestinians grow up, mature and decide that peace with their neighbor Israel is in their interest, then, one day, maybe they will really make peace but that day, is far off. Kerry, like all the other Sec. of State's before him know this sad reality yet they go through the motions for one reason only - to show the Arab world that American Foreign Policy is on the right track and it is working. The reality is that US Foreign policy is at it's lowest point since Carter. Martini anybody?

Do you really believe Kerry is intelligent enough -- and wise enough --to understand that.

I think that deep down these kinds of politicians know the truth but that they are drawn by the (Swift Boat) current of their surroundings and misconceptions - no where is this more prevalent than at the Dept. of State.

Diplomats know enough history and have enough experience in these matters but they live in a Bizarro fantasy world where martini lunches, elegant motorcades and applause blind them into thinking that they can affect change in the Middle East. They can - for the worse.

All of the Arab (Persian, Chinese and Russian) world know that the Obama team are hopelessly naive fools and they pretend to really listen to what Obama says especially when he says, “...and I mean it”!

This administration is the laughing stock of the world and that means US policy has no effect whatsoever on ANY party.

Even Israel, our most reliable and steady Democratic ally in the region has been humiliated and bullied by the current administration and this means that the Israelis know they cannot depend on the White House when push will come to shove...BB is off his leash and the Hezbollah and HAMAS know he will not be restrained by Obama next time around...

Because the Saudis keep sending over crude so long as the US leans on Israel, and Israel is a land bridge between three continents, all of which the Moose Limbs want to conquer. Moose Limbs have oil. America deludes itself that it’s not about conquest and leans on Israel for the oil. Moose Limbs expect Israel to commit suicide so they can go on to conquer, and are infuriated that it hasn’t happened yet, and lean on America to lean on Israel. If I were more technically savvy, I could draw a flow chart.
