The ATF leader who oversaw a botched undercover operation in Milwaukee will now be in charge of the agency's embattled Phoenix office, where agents allowed more than 2,000 guns to walk into the hands of suspected criminals through the infamous "Operation Fast and Furious."

A Ping for you.
At least this time we have an idea of where to keep an eye out for ATF Shenanigans.
My advice to all Gun Dealers in Arizona and the surrounding states is to install more cameras and wire up all of their employees so that they have recordings of all transactions from now on. It’s the best way to protect themselves from entrapment charges.
According to a new report from the Department of the Interior Inspector General, the United States Park Police have lost track of thousands of handguns, shotguns, machine guns and rifles.
Hopefully he has learned from his mistakes and will do a better job of covering up his activities. /S
there will be hell to pay for Obamas critics in the second term. After we win this election, it is payback time. For those who supported us, there will be rewards, for the ones who opposed us, they will get what they deserve. There will be hell to pay. “Valerie Jarrett.”
Why does anyone expect any different.
Enough with the “ botched “ BS.
I was a deliberate operation to put weaponry in the hands of criminal drug cartels and blame American gun dealers for it. The problem for the administration is that someone blew the whistle!
“”There are 73 Federal offices of inspectors general, a significant increase since the statutory creation of the initial 12 offices by the Inspector General Act of 1978. The offices employ special agents (criminal investigators, often armed) and auditors. In addition, federal offices of inspectors general employ forensic auditors, or “audigators,” evaluators, inspectors, administrative investigators, and a variety of other specialists. Their activities include the detection and prevention of fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement of the government programs and operations within their parent organizations””
Doing a bang up job at the DETECTION and PREVENTION part, aren’t they? They get busy AFTER the deeds have been done and write up a report. AND if they’re lucky, get to participate in a congressional committee hearing and appear as the hero.
Each unpunished crime expands the envelope of acceptable action and sets a precedent for future presidential thugs to build on.
There is very little time.
In several cases, Obama has refused to appoint an inspector general, such as over at State where one is sorely needed.
You can’t make this stuff up.
F&F was not a “botched sting,” as there was never any attempt to track the weapons.
“”In several cases, Obama has refused to appoint an inspector general, such as over at State where one is sorely needed.””
He finally did appoint one last week after Cruz made his statement. Steve Linick who is the current IG from the Federal Housing Finance Agency. They must be running out of stooges if he had to pick one from another agency. Now will he leave the Federal Housing Finance Agency without an IG? Who cares? As far as I can tell, they are useless anyway.
Hopefully he has learned from his mistakes and will do a better job of covering up his activities.
My father put it this way: "Smart people learn from other people's mistakes; average people learn from their own mistakes, and dumb people just make the same mistakes over and over."
Years later, it occurred to me the critical factor may not always be intelligence, but the willingness to learn.
I agree. There was only the ATF’s assertion. After the fact that they were “tracking” the weapons.
So once again we are seeing a central figure in an Obama scandal being rewarded after the smoke has cleared. If anybody needs proof that “Fast and Furious” was an intentional gun-running scheme they need look no further.
President Jarrett knows what she’s talking about.
Possibly they are being rewarded for their competance. They put firearms in the hands of those who can cause civil disobedience, possibly be part of obama’s civilian army, commit crimes with firearms thereby discrediting firearms and legal firearm owners, converting goods seized by BATF (cigarettes, untaxed alcohol, firearms, etc,) into funds for the gangs also fenceing for them and paying them with taxpayer money. And the brain damaged gentleman, just seeing that he gets proper care from the state.
Job Well Done, America being corrupted, undermined and public resources being converted to the enemies of America. The’ll probably get raises too.
Fast and Furious was not a ‘botched sting.’ In order for a sting to be botched there has to be some protocol in the operation to affect a sting. There was none. F&F went exactly as planned.
>> “ The forests can be cleared with a match.” <<
Yet thousands of land owners in wild lands are suing the state over the 100 foot clear space requirement in California, calling it unreasonable.
There is going to be much weeping and wailing as the end rolls out.
In some cases it is; in others it's not enough. That's what's wrong with State specifications calling the shots.
Most of these idiots think that a forest is composed only of trees. They wouldn't recognize a multi-aged stand with full cohorts of groundcovers, grasses, and shrubs if they saw one.
Much of our national forests are choked with chemise and conifer seedlings, and little natural forest really exists these days.
Only that part that is privately owned bears any resemblence to a real forest.
After 10,000 years of aboriginal management, the term, "natural forest" is a myth. The reason they aren't the same is because humans aren't harvesting pine nuts, coppicing gooseberries, and killing both herbivores and competing predators. We need to learn how to run them differently, but doing that while retaining the early successional species that give restart its microbial life will take time and experimentation, not "preservation." This is to say nothing of the influence of exotics.
They are promoting criminality, not incompetence.
If our forests were actually managed, as opposed to either clear cut, or not cut, there would be way less forest fires, etc. The Germans have the right idea, IMO, as they have locals manage their forests...the proper trees get cut and used as fence posts, whatever. The local people have direct stake and say in the proceedings.
The downside to that is a “forest mafia” begins to take shape, but there is a lot of peer pressure and at the end of the year the forest is in balance and targeted hunting keeps the animal populations in check.
Can anyone explain to me what beneficial effect the forest service has? Some guy from wherever who works for someone in DC?
It enriches the heirs of Frederick Weyerhaeuser by keeping Federal timber off the market?
Unbelievable! ATF Agent who botched the gun sting in Milwlaukee has been sent to manage the office in Phoenix. Murphy’s Law.

Well, it was “botched” because they got caught.

"The leaders of the Weather Underground, she believes, followed a similar pattern of constantly shifting sexual alliances..."
"He [Bill Ayers] also writes about the Weathermen's sexual experimentation as they tried to 'smash monogamy.' The Weathermen were 'an army of lovers,' he says, and describes having had different sexual partners, including his best male friend."

"...the Weathermen, when not engaged in group sex, committed such revolutionary acts as parading with a Viet Cong flag through a local park on Independence Day and spray-painting the walls of a high school with the slogans, "Off the Pigs," "Viet Cong Will Win," and "F#$k U.S. Imperialism."..."
"What happens next bears watching closely, as does the response of the president, ex-Speaker Pelosi, and others on the left. Encouraged by leftists in the Democratic Party and funded by left-leaning nonprofit organizations and celebrity contributors, Occupy Wall Street may in time morph into something resembling the radical factions of the late 1960s and 1970s."
