Obama to unveil broad African electrical power initiative ($7 Billion)
Yahoo News/Reuters ^ | June 30, 2013 | Mark Felsenthal

Pointing to Africa's crippling lack of electrical power, President Barack Obama is due to announce on Sunday a $7 billion initiative over five years to double access to power in sub-Saharan Africa.

Obama has been faulted for lacking a grand program to benefit Africa like the HIV/AIDS initiative launched by President George W. Bush or the broad reductions of trade barriers achieved by President Bill Clinton.

Despite severe U.S. budget constraints, the power initiative could provide Obama with just such a signature program.

The CS’er is closing down our power plants and building them for Africa.

I said the other day he hadn’t written the check yet. It looks like the check writing is right around the corner.

Someone else posted that Obama won’t shut down the coal industry: he’ll simply require that our coal be sold to other countries. This will keep the coal industry happy and protect some Democrat districts, while at the same time undermining the United States. What could be better?

Got no money for our poor, our elderly, our dissabled, our veterans, but by golly we got’s plenty of money for other nations- Will energy prices in Africa ‘necessarily skyrocket” therre too? Or did dear leader only mean that poor Americans woudl have to fsace crippling high energy prices?

He certainly isn’t trying to promote US interests:

“Some business leaders were disappointed that private companies did not have a more visible active role on the Africa visit.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which is often along on presidential trips overseas, does not have an official business entourage on this trip despite making Africa a priority.”

Kenya---the land of his birth----was not on his tax-paid $100 million African itinerary?

NOT TO WORRY---THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION JUST APPROVED $50 MILLION DOLLARS IN FOREIGN AID TO KENYA.

------------------------------------------------

O'S KENYAN HALF BRO IS READY TO CASH IN---RUNS THE TAX-EXEMPT "DO-GOOD IN KENYA" OBAMA FOUNDATION. The tax- exempt “charity” named in honor of their Dad, is run by President Barack Obama’s half-brother Malik.

The tax-exempt Obama foundation, fast-tracked by Lerner for IRS tax-exempt status, is based at a Virginia UPS store, according to its website. The organization’s IRS filings list another Virginia address that is actually a drug rehab center where the foundation does not appear ever to have been based.

As first reported by The Daily Caller, the foundation was speedily approved for IRS exemption by Lois Lerner, the self-same IRS senior official at the center of the targeting of conservative organizations that have waited over two years to receive tax exempt status. The IRS thoughtfully gave Obama Foundation retroactive fund-raising status.......which it stupidly never applied for.

============================================

The tax-exempt Barack H. Obama Foundation is run by Abon’go “Roy” Malik Obama, the half-brother of Barack Obama. The foundation’s mission statement is “to provide people everywhere with resources to uplift their welfare and living standards in memory of dad---Barack H. Obama: in the region of his birth, Kenya, and beyond.” Its guiding principle is “the inherent belief that no one can truly enjoy the riches he has reaped if his neighbor suffers....."We seek to elevate the human condition so that everyone can live in dignity and truly enjoy having one another as neighbors.”

(same old, same old sap-happy do-goodniks)

Despite raising more than $250,000, the alleged charity doesn’t seem to have done much. Its website claims the organization has built a madrassa and was building an imam’s house as well as some “proposed latrines,” but there is no other evidence that the nonprofit was working to “mitigate social-shortcomings in areas of education and literacy, health and well-being, poverty, and lack of community infrastructure in such basic needs such as water, electricity, shelter and sustenance,” as the site says.

Alton Ray Baysden, a former Dept of State employee, allegedly a registered Republican, who helped start the Barack H Obama foundation, declined to comment before seeing copies of a reporter’s passport and govt ID, along with a description of the article’s “motivation” and “slant.”

Repeated reporters' phone calls went to the organization’s voicemail and were not returned.

Obama’s half-brother Malik spends most of his time in Kenya with his 12 wives.

Malik holds up photo of Obama in Muslim dress
taken on a trip to Kenya when Ohaha was about 23-24 y/o.

If this wasn’t such a disaster, it would be hilarious.

I thought oil and gas were bad climate change juju.

I like how he had to throw in the geothermal, hydro, wind, and solar. Like they’re really gonna do any of that.

If the power from “necklacing” could be harnessed, South Africa could probably generate enough electricity for the whole world.

The $100 million vacation does not include the million dollar giveaways to corrupt African dictators under the guise of "encouraging democracy" in countries w/strong-arm military dictatorships.

BUT the $7 billion tax dollars for electricity will help the genital-washing program we already funded.

WHAT'S THAT? YOU MISSED THIS? $823,200 of economic stimulus funds in 2009 went to a UCLA research team to teach African men how to wash their genitals after having sex. NIH wanted to evaluate the feasibility of a post-coital genital hygiene program.

The genitalia-washing program is part of a larger $12-million UCLA study examining how to better encourage Africans to undergo HIV testing and counseling – however, only the penis-washing received money from the 2009 economic stimulus law. The tax-paid genitalia washing was set to end in 2011.

===========================================

(Sob) Obama compassionately solved the dirty sex organ crisis.
Now he's on to Africa to finance Phase Two.

Obama is transporting to Africa thousands of taxpaid ***-washers attached to power hoses.

I'm elated that Obama could escape from the pressures of Sequestration on his Excellent African adventure at the expense of $100,000,000 tax payer dollars taking along The Mooch, Sasha, Malia, mother-in-law Marian Robinson, and niece Leslie Robinson.
Also nice to know that American taxpayers will fund a $7,000,000,000 African energy initiative while Obama fights his War-on-Coal that will "necessarily skyrocket" energy costs to those same American taxpayer.
What a guy !!!

Yeah; while we pay exhorbitant electric bills HERE, while our Taxdollars go THERE, as the Regulatory/Executive Orders circumvent Congress to penalize coal-burning power plants, hand Tax Dollars to assholes that pocket it and go bankrupt with goofy 200mph carbureator schemes (solar, propeller farms, etc.), and eliminate mining and power plant jobs up the wazzoo.

Follow the money; it's all to hand Tax Dollars to favored supporters and friends......(INCLUDING Unions)

Shutting down power generation in America while giving away tax money we borrow from the Chinese in random bus stops in Africa.

Amazing that Congress allows this illegal immigrant to just give away money. He is not a king, he is a freaking President. He CANNOT legally do that! Only Congress can do that by vote.

This whole Government is Illegal now. Criminals run the ship.

"Power Africa will build on Africa's enormous power potential, including new discoveries of vast reserves of oil and gas, and the potential to develop clean geothermal, hydro, wind and solar energy,"

The resources are already there, and they are profitable to produce. $7 billion is utterly unnecessary for anything but Obama's African legacy. SMH
