I am unable to download a video off Sun news which I wanted to post on Youtube. Any ideas. Nothing I tired works. Download helper in Firefox failed as did The real player device to download which never appeared and the Internet Download manager icon to download did not appear either. Any ideas on how to download it?

Thanks I’ll try the screen-o-matic software because many flv download softwares are being disabled on various sites.
bump
Yeah well I gave up downloading some websites because they quit working with the plugins or they crashed.
Thanks. I will try that. Seems to me that the screen-o-matic has issues recording audio sound unless you pay for it. I could but I’ll try this one first.
That one is more for downloading streams but it may work with video.
Change your nom de jour /s
I'm no kind of an expert or een advanced, but in WinXP there was a cache in temporary internet files, with a strange name, which was used to "replay" the video repeatedly. Changing the name allowed saving it to my hard drive.
I have not found the equivalent folder in Win 7.
Anyone?
Good subject, I have seen the same problem.
Try Internet Explorer, then check the cached temp files.
I just downloaded it using “Replay Media Catcher 4”
RealPlayer .flv file, 6:01, 94.48 MB
-do not convert option used - bottom of screem
Orbit Downloader ver.4 would probably work also but I find Replay Media Catcher easier to use.
