Jared Marcum’s NRA T-Shirt
National Review ^ | July 1, 2013 | National Review

The 14-year-old battles the court during his summer vacation.

By Ian Tuttle

Jared Marcum is 14 years old. He just graduated the eighth grade. And if prosecutors in Logan, W.Va., have their way, he will be a convict before he can legally operate a motor vehicle.

Jared was thrust into the national limelight when, standing in the Logan Middle School cafeteria line, he refused a teacher’s order to turn his NRA T-shirt inside out to hide its image of a hunting rifle. In the principal’s office, he explained that the shirt was not in violation of school policy and that the teacher’s order was a violation of his rights. After consulting the school’s policy manual and putting in a call to the school attorney, the teacher conceded. That should have been the end of the kerfuffle.

Teacher, principal and police are all GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES.

In Obama-nation government employees view citizens as the enemy.

Add to that list of GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES the prosecutor and judge - who also view a citizen that dare excersise his rights as the enemy.

They should sell copies of the T-Shirt to raise funds and let people vote with their money.

If >50% of the kids wore a copy to school, teh point would be made.

"i am not litigious by nature, but I hope the parents sue the pants off every moron involved here"

Get a Lawyer to sue the INDIVIDUALS, personally, NOT the School (taxpayers then will not have to fund the settlement, and the Liberal Union Teachers will learn that they have PERSONAL risk in The Agenda of Indoctrination, NOT relying on Tax dollars to bail them out).

Unfortunately, the gut reaction is always to go for the DEEP POCKETS (taxpayers), to fleece them and line the Lawyers' pockets, while the perps walk free and are not harmed whatsoever.

Anyone in West Virginia ready to start a recall campaign against Logan County prosecutor unless all charges are dropped.
Recall all the city officials unless the cops are fired as well.

If the shirt had an image of a Trojan condom (just like the condoms provided by the schools) there would be no problem.

Yeah, that’s my opinion, too. And it goes for all agents of the government.

They should be personally at financial/civil risk when they exercise authority.

Amen! It's a responsibility thing—but absolving itself from any and all responsibility is one of the hallmarks of government. We, the people could change that if we were to get sufficiently riled up.

He needs to lose the Biebdo.

It doesn't appeal to my eye, either, but a.) it's his hair, not mine, and b.) he's already standing taller than millions of Americans, so I believe I'd shake his hand and thank him for setting a good example.

traditional1 ~:” Get a Lawyer to sue the INDIVIDUALS, personally, NOT the School (taxpayers then will not have to fund the settlement, and the Liberal Union Teachers will learn that they have PERSONAL risk in The Agenda of Indoctrination, NOT relying on Tax dollars to bail them out). “

Exactly :
Start using the Saul Alinsky playbook : “Rules for Radicals”
#4) “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.”
#12) Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions...

This anti-constitutional BS should stop, as should the anti-gun BS. Both are treasonous acts at there worst done intentionally and ignorance on display at best. Perpetuated by the idiotic “gun free zone” BS that portrays guns as bad when any student of history knows that guns in the hands of American hero’s and patriots are directly responsible for every bit of freedom we presently are allowed to enjoy.

...and for you NRA believers I would suggest you consider history as well. The organization you support with your dollars, is giving A+ ratings to democrats. Maybe fifty years ago that could have been tolerated, but not in today’s world. Not to mention the existance of NRA during the rollover for every egregious attack on “shall not be infringed” since 1871, need I mention NFA, 1968, 1986, etc, etc. It sickens me that so many people can give a pass to the very folks responsible for disarming the American people by bits and pieces, and I can only assume by design.

Until recently they were all in on strengthening background checks, to quote Mither Limbaugh, “it doesn’t stop there”. I don’t think I need to draw a picture here of the organization that wants to stay pure of the political battle, over our rights under God, but is smack dab in the middle of insuring they are contolled, and dribbled away piecemeal by eventual tyrannical government.

I say again, if this is justice, then I want none. A school official, and a pig in a blackrobe acting like the grand poubaa for dismissing a non issue case against a 12 year old kid. The black robes, the govt lawyers using law enforcement to attack little kids, who are btw, US citizens, while giving free passes to alien criminals invading our country in an all out attack on citizen taxpayers. This is what our so called justice system has become.

“he felt that Jared had threatened his safety.”

So here’s your typical cop, gun, badge, gut and mirror sun
glasses with backup standing right there with their guns,
badges and gut overhangs and this punk feels
“Jared had threatened his safety”.

Typical lying coward, typical lying cop. I think its more
the punk cops at fault here than the teachers.

The sad fact is most cops are those guys in school who
were to scared to defend them selves and were picked on
all the time. Then they grew up and became cops to get
back at the world.

I read last week where the prosecution had dropped all charges. Was the article in error?
