Fox and Friends’ Gretchen Carlson led a panel discussion Tuesday morning addressing the now-controversial speech of Rachel Jeantel, the chief witness for the prosecution in the George Zimmerman trial. Carlson took issue with linguist John McWhorter’s defense of Jeantel’s speech as an articulate use of “Black English,” and asked if such a description was “possibly offensive.”
“Anthropologists, historians, they will say Black English is a language,” Democratic strategist Jehmu Greene said, adding:
“It’s not a language that’s gonna get you to graduate from high school, to go to college, to find a job, or to keep a job. We have to stop making excuses for this type of conversation that is happening in our communities. All too often we have leaders, like John McWhorter, talking about the history and talking about where it comes from, but like the slave trade, where this language is based from, it should be a thing of the past. It should be okay for people who have a platform, especially African Americans in the media who have a platform, to say this is unacceptable. This is not how our children should be learning. This is not the best way to move them forward”
“I assume you’ll take hits for saying that,” Carlson said.
“Absolutely,” Greene said. “Jesse Jackson did when he called it something like ‘garbage dialect.’”
Its not a language, it is ignorance. They make excuses for it. Everything that corrupts and is wrong will be normalized, while the normal is called hate and offensive.
Why would language be different?
They will bring out the new Tower of Babel.

In the first century AD, if you didn’t speak Latin well, you were a savage and an outcast.
When in Rome.......
You will be trashed if you point out the documented problems with black-on-black violence.
You will be trashed for pointing out the rampant number of blacks born out of wedlock.
You will be trashed if you point out how most blacks denigrate any black who tries to get an education.
In other words, you will be trashed for telling the truth.
And any culture that trashes truth-telling is a cesspool, be it black urban culture or Islamic culture.
My impression of her was that she had done way too many drugs and had lost her ability to speak in coherent sentences, or the she was high.

Any time Jesse Jackson opens his mouth and starts his mumbling and jumbling and trying to make ever other word rhyme like a preacher every word he says should be closed captioned on TV. The average person, white or black, can barely understand what Jackson is saying. And the illiterate, disrespectful “star witness” for Martin should have definitely been closed captioned. She sounded like someone who quit school after the 2nd grade. And on top of that she was a smart-ass that should have been warned by the judge to straighten out her attitude or kicked out of the courtroom.
Blacks are their own worst enemy. Whenever any one of them from the hood tries to climb out, they are either dragged down by the bros and hoes or ostracized for acting white.
I still have to wonder if the prosecutors aren’t blowing this case because they didn’t want to prosecute it to begin with. You know they deposed this woman and knew she can’t speak English and can’t read or write. On top of that, she wasn’t even a witness.

but speaking the way she does in EBONICS shows her to be a person of low education and less capable of intellectual capacity. Hey, I am from Brooklyn— so if I spoke like Archie Bunker or the Bowery Boys all the time— what cache or intellectual credibility would I have?
I saw this.
Ms. Greene was quite articulate and sincere and was taking no excuses. She said the bad language was a relic of slavery and should be just as gone.
Was really remarkable.
The left totally approves of that too
Nimrod, the son of Satin himself, is desperately trying to rebuild that tower.

And he IS succeeding.
God destroyed the tower and dispersed the people through language diversity. To rebuild the tower, Satin’s sons need to normalize and standardize the language down to the least common denominator. Text messages anyone?

I just heard the other day that some whites call blacks who wear their pants down to their knees “saggin”. Spell it backwards. I’ve never heard that. I try to live a quiet life.

Language like this did not exist in the black community where today it is more and more “cool” to speak poor English.
Yes, in the south there were some black dialects, but nothing close to what is promoted within the hood today.
