Three former faculty members at Winston-Salem State University said the school was systematically raising grades of African-American students.

Former Director of Academic Technology Shira Hedgepeth, along with two former professors who spoke to Campus Reform on the condition of anonymity, alleged administrators at the historically black college routinely increase the final grades of African-American students in order to raise the school’s standing.
“Some students had their final grades changed based on their race,” Hedgepeth told Campus Reform on June 6. “That was a common complaint of many of the faculty that I worked with.”
“None of the Caucasian or non-African American students… none of their grades were changed,” she added. “The way the grades fell out, there was no other reason for changing.”

For years...whenever I’ve seen a black doctor,lawyer,cop,fireman or DMV employee I’ve wondered “qualified,or Affirmative Action?”
Affirmative action?
Racists of color. Total slap in the face to their black students. Can’t get ahead without good ol liberals bumpin up your grades to grades you didn’t earn. Libs think this actually does blacks a favor and that they ought to be indebted to them for it.
WHole thing is sick and it also helps set these kids up for failure in the future because they can’t live up to their inflated grades.
Raising the grades is more fair than giving then 40 acres and a mule.
You also need to look at women in certain fields the exact same way.
Unless it’s YOUR trauma surgeon post car crash that’s had his grades raised...

I have heard about blacks who say they do not want a black lawyer
At least with cops and fireman, you need not wonder. After all the kerfluffle about depts being sued to lower the bar, or else not hiring whites who had higher scores in order to hire minorities with lower scores, or can’t pass the swimming test, etc.

What if the engineering firm that built the bridge you travel across every day on the way to work was staffed by these ‘grade raised’ engineers.

Me too. I’ve tried (very hard) not to think that way and give this person a fair shot but I still have that nagging feeling. Saw too many officers in the military achieving positions that plainly they were not suited for - and not just blacks.
It’s the school administrators pushing for the inflated grades to make them “look good” to the gullible public. That way they can ask for more taxes from the gullible public. Faculty comply because their evaluations are based primarily on how the students evaluate them. The students give good evaluations when the faculty “give” them good grades. The American people will never figure out such scams.
Nah, that ain't happening in Obama land.
They'll just hand them the grades they think they deserve for social reasons. In other words, just for showing up. This has been going on a long time and it's very wide spread.
It's what brought us a teleprompter reading phony for a president. A so called president who in reality couldn't successfully run a Taco stand.
The “unknown factor” of AA is why I won’t go to a black, or foreign, professional.
AA presents a real stigma to minorities. I would feel bewildered wondering if I got hired, or degree’d based on a government mandate, and not my own ability.
Getting hired because of color is just as bad as NOT getting hired because of color.
It's not just to make the school look good. It's your good old fashioned liberal malfeasance. Liberals cheat, liberals lie, liberals cannot be trusted to do the right thing....EVER!
Liberals literally screw up every single thing they touch.
