The Egypt drama is reaching its inevitable, and largely expected, conclusion. From Reuters:
In other words, if Morsi leaves, you get a Civil War.

As always, follow the live action below:

You Freepers don't need to worry cause our fearless community organizer has been training for just such an event for the past five years, is in the area, and is prepared to take charge!
ungrateful damn egyptians. they got the big obamagastic nobel peace prize inducing cairo speech, and everything.
Barry Obama: “We’re sending a brigade to help. What’s that? That brigade has been disbanded? They’ve been sent home?
Ah, we are sending you our best wishes.”

Remember Obama, YOU gave the military in Egypt all those tanks and airplanes!!!!
The “Arab Spring” is running with blood.
Have any been actually delivered?..............
PING
The first mistake is thinking that democracy can ever come to bearded-savage countries. Bearded savages kill normal people, other bearded savages, and everything that moves.
The smart members of the “Brotherhood” will take the money and intelligence Obama’s coup gained them and leave and run the country with blackmail and bribes from say... San Francisco.
Obama and his media: inventors of “the failure-success”!
Hey Mursi, don’t let the door slam on your way out! Good riddance to fascist trash.
Coup Under Way In Egypt, President Advisor Says, Warns About “Considerable Bloodshed”, “Tanks....”
Your welcome.
And no fireworks for the troops
Desolation of the Obamanation continues...
The Egyptian army just gave Obama the “bronx salute”.

From 2011:
Despite revolution, US set to approve tank sales to Egypt
The Jerusalem Post
7/8/2011
http://www.jpost.com/International/Despite-revolution-US-set-to-approve-tank-sales-to-Egypt
The US signaled last week that it plans to continue business as usual when it comes to arms sales to the Egyptian military, despite the recent revolution in Egypt and continued anti-government demonstrations there.
On Friday, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress of a possible sale of 125 M1A1 Abrams tank to Egypt the first large arms deal since Hosni Mubarak was ousted from power in February including associated weapons, equipment, parts, training and logistical support at an estimated cost of just over $1.3 billion.
If approved, the deal would increase the number of Abrams tanks in Egypt from around 1,000 to 1,130.
According to the notification to Congress, Egypt would receive 125 tanks, parts of which would be produced in Egypt, as well as M256 Armament Systems, M2 .50 caliber machine guns, 7.62mm machine guns, spare parts, maintenance, support equipment, personnel training and other related elements of logistics and program support.
The rule of the MB is over. Pretty much the army runs the country.
Am I the only one with Obama fatigue?
Good for the Egyptian Army. They are about the only sane actor in the country. May they speedily prevail.
Another group of thugs will be in power tomorrow.
Perhaps all those Muslim Brotherhood members who like to scream about how much they desire martyrdom will now get their wishes.
Obama fatigue.
Obama fatigue.
Pretty much the army IS the government.
Total boondoggle. Obama fail.

COME GET SOME!!!
As long as it is Salafist Muslim Brotherhood blood, that's just dandy with me.
Rest assured, I am responding to this crisis quickly. My family and I are going on vacation to Hawaii and other tropical paradises on your money.
CNN clearly taking the side of the Muzzie Bro’hood.
bttt
But first, the community organizer has several speeches to give. And fundraisers.
“tanks for the memories.”- your Nobel prizewinnin pal, Barky
Obviously, every third world country is going to be ruled by crooks and thugs (come to think of it, many first world countries are too, they're just more subtle about their abuse of power).
However, some thugs are preferable to others. Would you rather have a Hosni Mubarak-style thug from the Army running things, who, while corrupt and brutal, suppresses Islamist factions like the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Quaeda fronts while protecting secularists and Christians, or a Muslim Brotherhood thug who is even more extreme and fanatical than Morsi?
The goal of US foreign policy shouldn't be supporting "Democracy" or the fantasy of western style representative governments in the Middle East. Our goal should be making sure that secular strongmen open to trade and diplomatic relations with the US rule these nations.
I guess they figure they can watch them on Al Jazeera TV.
Should have said: I guess he figures they can watch them on Al Jazeera TV.
bump
You have to change your outlook. Just pretend your watching early Coen Brothers movies.
Did he send those 400 of our troops there yet? Oh...I hope not!
Folks need to get over their fixation on the Muslim Brotherhood being the only nasty players in the area. This bunch of raping “freedom” protesters are the same as the last bunch of raping “freedom” protesters. I also wouldn’t be so sure the military will be this secular force for good, certainly not for very long.
CNN clearly taking the side of the Muzzie Brohood.
Agreed, which is why any mass democratic movement in Egypt or most other third world countries is bound to fail.
I also wouldnt be so sure the military will be this secular force for good, certainly not for very long.
The Egyptian military still has many Mubarak loyalists in its ranks. Whatever their faults, they and not the "Arab spring liberation" protesters the best hope for both secularism and stability in Egypt.
I hate to say this because Morsi is a POS...but...the Egyptian people asked for this...as a matter of fact...DEMANDED this man go into power....the REAL question is...will we ever get back to talking about Benghazi, IRS, NSA, Snowden, and Obamacare? Or are the headlines going to go all Egypt 24/7 now?
I noticed that CBS had another blond reporter out at the Square yesterday. This can’t end well.
CNN clearly taking the side of the Muzzie Brohood.
FNC showing The Best of Megyn Kelly highlights as it’s her last day before maternity leave and then onto prime time. CNN AGAIN the best place to be for breaking news.
this will leave a mark on obama here in the USA. not good for obama, but it will be I believe good for the American people to see Obama is an absolute failure.
After about 5 years of listening to his bs, I think fatigue is understating it. Maybe if we call it a syndrome, we can qualify for Social Security disability.
