The Egypt drama is reaching its inevitable, and largely expected, conclusion. From Reuters:

In other words, if Morsi leaves, you get a Civil War.

This article makes it sound like all those millions of people want Morsi to stay and will fight against the military. If the military ousts Morsi i would think most of them will go home. They may not want military rule but thats the only way they will get rid of Morsi.

If you pay attention, you couldsee that the current events in Egypt are the reset button.

The people, the business community, and the military have had a belleyful. Military coup grts headlines but the actual event is merely renewing the status quo ante brotherhood

The money and the military have always been the power. The people finally caught up.

We are witnessing an anti-Muslim Brotherhood demonstration that surpasses prior anti-Mubarak demonstrations. To break the Muslim Brotherhood at this point in Egypt will have far-reaching effects throughout the Arab world that will greatly benefit this nation. Yet this nation's President is siding against the Arab people in favor of an organization that is the enemy of this nation.

Remember Obama, YOU gave the military in Egypt all those tanks and airplanes!!!!

As long as it leads to lots and lots of dead Muslims, and very few dead others, I'm not sure I'm so against the idea anymore.

Hillary Clinton - a solid record of incompetence. Small wonder the Democrats want her for President.

There are no good guys here. Bad guys killing bad guys. There is no outcome here that results in an Egyptian version of Jefferson, Washington, Franklin, Adams etc...coming together to bring forth a great nation.

The only outcomes here are an islamo-fascist government and a lot of dead people.

Yes, and like Hillary’s reset with Russia, not likely to be pro American. Maybe to the non-brotherhood elements of the military, but those out there protesting know the don’t have our support

An Amerocentric view of these events is all wet. America is simply not required.

The whole point is to return to the meager prosperity that existed before. People carry on like Egypt is dead without America. Look around...... Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Dubai, Abu Dhabi They all employ thousands, tens of thousands of educated Egyptians and contribute greatly to the economy.

The Gulf Arabs need a strong reliable Egypt to shore up the eastern flank of the Arab league. That’s what will result. That influence far outweighs any American pittance provided by a weak Obama government.
