Bette Midler is taking a different approach.
The Parental Guidance star imagines a world in which the U.S. lost the war for its independence, but it's not like that's a bad thing. After all, she argues, that would mean we'd finally have socialized medicine.

I guess she is saying that if the British won, we would be under the crown and have Universal Health Care. Sheesh what thinking. Oh well. She got her wish cuz we have Universal Health Care now so what is the problem? The liberals beginning with Romney got their wish.

She is among that group of radical liberals, who think that Obamacare didn’t go far enough.
These particular liberals aren’t excited about Obamacare, because it isn’t single payer, government operated healthcare. These liberals object to the fact that we still have privatly owned hospitals and healthcare providers, and that doctors are still independent business men and women. In their utopian world, everyone connected with healthcare would be a government employee or government bureaucrat.
